Its nice when modders don't just make a spoiler :)

Who else is hyped for the Cyrus split?
Me :). Love the map.

So, to not repeat the Ainu mistake we decided to post the Yuan design. Because why not?
Option A:

Yuan

Sinicization
Unit ignore terrain costs in enemy territory. Gain a free great person when you capture a capital.

HuiHui Pao
Does area damage unlike the Trebuchet it replaces.

Fire Ship
Trierime replacement. Dies on attack and instantly destroys all units until the renaissance era. Obsolete at Steam Power.

Option B:

Yuan

Sinicization
Gain a free great person when you capture a capital. Great Merchant points for every trade route from others civs to you

I'd say the first one has more synergy and is more cohesive. The second one looks like you'll end up swimming in Great merchants, which feels better fit for a Diplomacy focused civ.

The first one is more appropriate for the "FULL DOMINATION" civ. The UUs seem to be able to bring massive destruction, which makes the player aim for the conquest. Since Yuan was a Mongol state based on conquering huge area, this design would fit them pretty well.

By the way, are you sure that the UA should be called "Sicinization" and not "Sinicization"?

You saw nothing :shifty:

I... have no idea what the name above has to do with the uniques.
That's an interesting way of representing the Yuan.
(Option 1 is way better, though option two might fit in the Yuan more)

I want references to Marco Polo, so I think I prefer no 2.

Although this may fit even better?

Sicinization
Gain a free :c5greatperson: Great Person when you capture an Original :c5capital: Capital. Incoming international Trade Routes provide :c5greatperson: Great Merchant points for you and additional :c5gold: Gold for the Trade Route owner for every Original :c5capital: Capital in your control.

What about making Marco Polo's rectangle red and posting 4th version with "It is not even my final form" taunt?

According to wiki, bonus related to constructing religious and scientific buildings would be most accurate.

Well, option A at least does not penaltize poor Yuan player.

Both UU will make civ interesting on their own, though I will check it on release day.

Marco Polo indeed does feel more like an event thing. I'd believe the Science focus will be saved for Ming, though they also have a very good reason to have a Diplomacy focus... who was going to do the China split again?

More light in the east.

Now that I think of it, is it just me or the shape of the Great Khagan looks like the head of a Great Dane? :crazyeye:

u wot m8? (It's true, I half intended that(jk))

I like both the abilities themselves, but I don't think Sinicization is the best name for a Yuan UA.

I will reluctantly agree here. I just need a UA name that isn't "Pax Civ" etc. Does anyone have other suggestions?
