LINESII- Into the Darkness- Part III

Arright, here are the orders from Ardan. They are word for word, except for the 'Blanked' bit. They captured the level of detail I like working with:

Description: A brother race to the extinct Eldranians and defeated Veritasians, Davar was the last of the three to fall. Part was occupied, part fled over the Exodian Ocean. Now, the ancient land is embroiled in the chaos of war, and government comes from Arcadia, on the far side of the Ocean.

Spending

1. Pay 1 point to Khemri, 1 to education support, and 1 to project. 3 points

2. Use two points to train swordsmen, one on Marines (whatever they are ), and one on archers. (4 points.)

3.) 1 point to train ten galleys.(1 point)

Actions

1.) Send 1000 swordsmen to reestablish control in Orum and begin expanding it to the north (along the coast.)

2.) Find the heir to the Tir Tairngire throne and put him at the head of his volunteers.

3.) Attack Tir Tairngire, moving the 3000 swordsmen, 1000 Tutha volunteers, 1000 Marines, and 1000 spearmen south. Land the force togethor at the southern city and quickly move (along the river) to take the capital and reestablish the heir to the throne.

4.) Take 20,000 urban milita (conscripted from Arcadia) and attack that bladiest state to my north. March on it quickly and destroy it, offering the ihabitants the choice of converting to Oneism or a return trip to Ontaria.

*Yeah, I'm sorry about always [Blanking- Sorry, don't want to get another warning] over LINES orders. I do long, drawn out orders for everything else and neglect this :(. Sorry.

{I forgot the last one and you said you didn't want a bunch of orders, so I resent these.}

Now, you could add little details, like the names or backstories of your commanders, or things like that.

Heck, I'm even fine with really long orders on one condition:

Don't be rambly, going on for sentences where you could just say 'advance towards the capital'.

As long as your long orders are fairly concise and well organized, I'm fine with them. Thlayli's (if he'd like to post them, or edited versions of them), for example, are long, but very clear. As are alex994's and Luckymoose's. (these are just a few names, you can ask me for my opinion of your orders style if you'd like)

Well, yours are very nicely organized, though some sections get a bit rambly. You can just say what you want your main forces to do, and I'll do it. But the more detailed you get, the larger the chance that I'll misinterpret orders, and delay the update.

Stats Updated.

To: Rozan, Destre, Trinlin
From: Various Mag Elements

Unless a fair peace is made, someday again war will again rage through our lands. We request that Magland be reformed, in its traditional homelands (the rebellious area controlled by Rozan). Otherwise, rebellions and further future suffering and instability may once again be brought upon the Trinlinist faith.

Sure Iggy, here's a somewhat edited orderset from last turn.

Which reminds me, I spent some money (and wrote some stories) towards the restoration/rebuilding of Redemption. Any reason it's not an eco center?

Spoiler Veritas Orders :
Now with 200% more Imperiality.
Spoiler Updated Stats :
Autoregium of Veritas
Cities: New Veritas: Redemption, Saenium, Paleras, Sintonia Norvalin: Unias, Varlas, Paridum
Leader: Autorex Tactius/Thlayli
Culture: Valin (borders are very fluid at the moment, so minority populations vary). Orthodox Oneist (same comment as ethnicity)
Religion: Church of the One (90%), Aegypt (5%), Pirian Oneism (3%), New Eldism (2%)
Government: Federation of Republics (Temporary Military Dictatorship)
Economy: 5- 3/2
Population: Medium
Army: 0 Rose Knights (6), 0 Palantioi (4.5), 500 Phoenix Archers (4.5), 1000 Scimitari, 0 Pelarioi (4), 4000 Urban Militia, 1000 Cavalry Militia
Navy: 60 Septaremes, 10 Pentaremes, 10 Triremes, 5 Galleys
Education: None
Technology: Imperial Age
Wonders: New Dawn- Makes Paridium an Eco. Center, +1 Free Education level, (4/6)
Description: After its loss to Khemri in the War of the White Rose, Veritasan armies returned to New Veritas, recapturing Sintonia and liberating Redemption. This threw the Valins into war with Myocaca, which invaded in support of their ally. The Republic was recently overthrown by Autorex Tactius, who brought firm and decisive leadership to the weakened Valin nation.

I have 7 eco points, five from my economy, and two from Guangfei.

Domestic Orders:

Spoiler Domestic Orders :
The Autorex takes power, obviously, and with the support of the army begins to make drastic changes in the framework of the nation.

Double the number of Bladeist hostages to 10,000, and evenly distribute them in the catacombs and citadels of Paleras, Redemption and Saenium. That way, the Sintonians won't dare to attempt a rescue, since the other locations populations will be slaughtered. Stage several mock executions (beheading corpses of enemy soldiers, etc,) to continue Sintonian intimidation. Don't mistreat the prisoners, as long as the Bladeists stay docile.

Every citizen, Bladeist or Valin, must report to his nearest city to be registered in the census. They do not have to pay anything, but if they are male and unemployed, draft them into work crews assisting the Architects in rebuilding Redemption. Bladeists will also be required to swear an oath of loyalty to Veritas, after which they will be given the full rights of citizenship.

Dedicate one economy point to restoring Redemption to its former glory. Emphasize rebuilding the defenses. With my naval blockade preventing commerce to Myocaca, this will ironically help my merchant shipping. Redemption will be a center for Valin (and Oneist) migration from occupied areas into the reclaimed New Veritas, as well as an important center for weapons and Valin Fire production. All the production, immigration, and reconstruction in the city should make it an economic center.

Military Orders:

Spoiler Spending and Recruitment :
2 economy points to build 1000 Regian Guards (7)
2 economy points to build 2000 Scimitari
1 economy point to build 1000 Phoenix Archers
1 economy point to build 1000 Autorian Knights *medievalized version of the Rose Knights* (6)

Raise only 1000 Urban Militia this turn. If doing that will hurt the economy or confidence in any way, don't raise any at all.

This brings my totals to:

1000 Regian Guards, 1500 Phoenix Archers, 3000 Scimitari, 1000 Autorian Knights, 5000 Urban Militia, 1000 Cavalry Militia
Navy: 60 Septaremes, 10 Pentaremes, 10 Triremes, 5 Galleys

Spoiler New Veritasan Campaign :
Troops: 5000 Urban Militia, 1000 Cavalry Militia

The Autorex is taking a risk here, but all the professional troops are needed for the assault on Myocaca. The combination of the Valin Navy and the pirate fleets will prevent Myocaca from rebuilding their fleet and attacking Redemption, as is their plan. And the local Bladeists, afraid of having their loved ones slaughtered, will stop supplying food to the Myocacans. Their army will slowly begin to starve.

Valin forces concentrated in Redemption, Paleras and Saenium will hem them in. Arm the pro-Valin mountain tribes with iron weapons, and the promise of free pillage (as long as they return home) from Myocacan territory. Cavalry Militia will make hit-and-run attacks, disrupt supply lines, and generally make life miserable for the Myocacan forces. Basically, take advantage of the growing weakness of Myocacan forces to bleed them in whatever way possible.

Spoiler Myocacan Campaign :
Troops: 1000 Regian Guards, 1500 Phoenix Archers, 3000 Scimitari, 1000 Autorian Knights

A huge Han army (50,000+) will enter Aryie, smashing the defenses and army of the nation. Oneists in Aryie, filled with hatred for the monarchy that killed them, should aid Han troops in whatever way they can. Ethnic Oneists in Trenta (the city just north of Aryie) should also open the gates for Han soldiers. As this happens, Buguan raiders will make periodic attacks into Myocacan territory...more of a distraction to pull away enemy troops.

While Myocaca struggles to deal with the blockade and the Han/Buguan invasion, the Autorex will sail with 80 ships to Venustas, the former Veritasan colony of Sempronia. He will land his troops and utterly decimate the city from land and sea, loudly proclaiming the liberation of a Veritasan territory that will never again be abandoned.

And then he'll abandon it. While the Autorex and his forces return to the sea, a small decoy force of 500 soldiers will attack up the coast. Have them build enormous bonfires, and a huge tent city, to attract Myocacan attention from their fortified city to the north. Have this force disperse into the countryside to wage a guerilla war before the Myocacans realize the deception.

Han forces will make steady progress north towards Sanctus Tutela, the Myocacan capital that is heavily fortified...against attack by land. Tactius' 80 ships will link up with the Han navy, and the combined, 120-ship fleet will bombard the city as the main, Han army arrives. When it does, elite Regian Guards and the Autorian Knights will lead a charge onto the docks of the city, while the allied navy ferries thousands of Han soldiers across the river to back up their assault.

The massive Pentaremes, equipped with special grappling hooks and rams, will smash into the docks, discharging hundreds of soldiers while Phoenix Archers snipe from the rigging.

The second charge will be led personally by the Autorex and the Han Emperor, surrounded by the Scimitari and Imperial Guardmen of Guangfei. Show no mercy, unless the Bladeists surrender. Try and capture the Myocacan royal family, and immediately ship them back to Redemption.

Phoenix Archers, have been issued poisoned, armor piercing arrows, with specific instructions to target and kill Myocacan officers, and Knights of Divine Enlightenment.

Following a successful siege of the capital, try and secure as much coastline as possible, and ruthlessly put down even a hint of rebellion. The Autorex takes few prisoners.

EDIT: Tragic heroes or violent theocratic villains? Hmm...I'm going to have to go with tragic violent theocratic heroes. ;)

Redemption does not yet have enough population to support eco center status, and many people nearby don't have very large trading networks, or are unwilling to trade with you.

foolish icarus, it's okay, because you don't do much anyway. But really, what you write for most of your orders should be shown to everyone, as stories on this thread.

It has come to our attention that your king is finally returning from his long wars. As you have gain material success, allow us to give you spiritual release from the bonds of the Earth: transcend your neighbors, and accept the embrace of Tinura. We will send you a guru to teach you in our ways, if you would have it.

Iggy, now that the stats are done, I can confidently say you missed the updated nation description I slipped into the orders. :mischief: At the end of the nation stats.

From a myraid of sources, a message comes, relayed through a vast, untraceable network. The message reads:

Nice update! I might even send orders for this next one! Can you PM me some Citadel stuff (results of ongoing activities, etc.)?

LAy down your demands and we may consider.

IC:

To Myocacan Empire
From Han Guangfei Guangfei

There is one little problem with the Han Guangfei Empire laying down our demands, none have yet been made. Rest assured, we have nothing but relatively benign intentions in insuring a proper peace between our two nations that will last longer then our lives. Will you, or will you not, accept a ceasefire to negotiate a peace settlement?

OOC: What are my orders like iggy?

Also, the city in Buguan hasn't been added and my Emperor is still Guang, instead of Zhang.

Also, why are thlayli's Regian Guard the equal of the Imperial Guard? I had to make a WONDER for them but now they're being eclipsed by... soldiers you can normally get with EPs? :(

*points to other questions in the previous post*

Chen is in the stats. You must have missed it.

Fixing the Emperor's name.

The numbers system is pretty much meaningless, just kept around because significant numbers of people don't want to see it go.

To: Han Empire
From: Cultesian Bladeist Empire

We will accept a cease fire to allow negotiations to begin.

The Khemrian Empire has been asked to join the war if it does continue; but do note; we would be doing it with our own intrests in mind; please if you need assistance coming to a suitable peace contact us; but let it be known that we are strongly opposed to a radical rebalancing of power in the region.
