List of logical, historical and reality mistakes in civ5 GAK:
1) Hospital produces food like restaurant
2) Austria's eagle color -> is white, should be black
3) China badge colors -> should be yellow and blue
4) Helicopter cant cross water and loose movements points over rivers
5) Archers has 10 miles range
6) Riflemans are melee units
7) when you capture enemy city your country become unhappy
8) Destroyer can capture city and is melee unit
9) units can swim without transport ships
10) Cities can defend without garnisons and has 100 miles range.
11) Russia badge color -> green is better background for them

some more?

EDIT:
12)King Adolfus Gustavus was fat

This is going to be a very long 6 days with threads like this my friends.

List of logical, historical and reality mistakes in civ5 GAK:
6) Riflemans are male units
8) Destroyer can capture city and is male unit

What do you mean by male unit? Is there a distinction between male, female, unisex units in the game?

Let's the fan begins :)

1) Hospital produces food like restaurant

In civ Food means "Wealth", Wealth means better population growth, pop gowth is equal Born - Death, Hospital minimize death, Hospital help population growth -> Hospital Brings Food :)

2) Austria's eagle color -> is white, should be black
Civ Colors aren't flags.

3) China badge colors -> should be yellow and blue
Civ Colors aren't flags.

4) Helicopter cant cross water and loose movements points over rivers
Abstraction
5) Archers has 10 miles range
Abstraction
7) when you capture enemy city your country become unhappy
Your population happines includes all your cities in one value.
9) units can swim without transport ships
Best Civ5 feature ever
10) Cities can defend without garnisons and has 100 miles range.
City have implicit garrison...Abstraction
11) Russia badge color -> green is better background for them
Civ Colors aren't flags.

They could name this building supermarket or restaurant not hospital. It is logical mistake.

4) Helicopter cant cross water and loose movements points over rivers
Abstraction

It is not abstraction is just a mistake. Game is always simplicity of real world but good game should be adequate to some basics rules. Helicopter loosing all moving points over river is too big abstraction. It is just design mistake.

And I dont want to proof that civ5 is bad game. I just would like to show logical, historical and reality mistakes in civ5.

EDIT:
I knew some mistakes and just want to find more.

If there were a way to half-way look at you, and then change my mind and go back to what I was doing as if you had never said anything through the internet I would do that.

But there isn't, so I had to type that instead.

An archer has a range of 10 miles and the city 100 miles?

If we go with the archers stats then we assume that one hex is 5 miles. That means that when a Swordsman charges he charges 5 miles and if he is not successful (with a total kill) he retreat back 5 miles.

If we assume that it is the citys range that OP thinks is right, then one hex is 50 miles and the Swordsman (with a very high Stamina, presumably) charges 50 miles and retreats 50 miles if he doesn't totally kill his enemy.

I think I will add this to the list :)

Edit: And then we have the famous long walk 500 B.C. between Rome and Naples, so many years that long walk took. It was much faster 1650 A.D.

At 'Destroyers are male', I figured he means 'melee' instead of ranged.

My top realism issues:
- Giant units on map and in cities
- City size is 1 tile at 4000 BC, and remains 1 tile (except some graphical overflow to adjacent tiles) with 40 pop cities in 2000 AD.

Yes, You are right with this. Those 2 points about archers and rifleman are not relevant. But city range bigger then archers and catapults range is logically very strange.

Perhaps I should add that my entire post in this thread was ironic.

*facepalm* Civ is a GAME for god's sake, it is not a simulation of real word civilization and combat evolution.

the whole idea of founding cities to form a civilization and self-identifying nation in itself would be the most flawed part of the game if it were about accurately reflecting reality
