Toucan is a portable application that syncs and backups and stuff it is portable and open source.

Create Synchronicity does the same sort of stuff, it is open source but not portable.

Found this little icon webapp/application (Adobe Air) for making icons like the Photoshop/AdobeCS icons. I made a bunch for my folders in my dropbox seen here:

Just to give you an idea of what it looks like...

ICON GENERATOR

Now, the images/icons that it makes are exported/saved as .png's. I needed them as ico's, but an online png2ico converter is ridiculously easy to find with a google search.

Anyway, thought it was cool.

Why is one of your folders blacked out?

Take a guess at 'Pnr'.
Anyway, that icon generator looks kinda cool.

It's actually a shared folder with my brother, the folder name has his real name in there( Pete and [his name] Folder). His name begins with R, so pete n [hisname].

But looking at it now, and the color I chose to use, I can see how it is a little suggestive. I was running out of primary colors to use (look at the folders above it). Anyway, believe what you want, I don't give a poop.

 humerous

Yeah, but prn=pr0n ;).

It was really an unlucky choice, Pete :p

:rotfl:

Anyone know of any open source video editing software that can do green screen? I'd prefer open source, but regular free software would be great. I know Windows Movie Editor can do it on XP, but they removed the "functionality" (i.e. xml file "hack") from later versions so I can't use that sadly...

Im not sure about it, but maybe this can.It used to be called Jahshaka so Im not too sure what they did to it. BTW, another term for googling, if it helps, is "chroma key" I think I spelt that right.

I found another scanning service like VirusTotal. Its called Jotti. note that they send the files to A/V companies to improve detection accuracy so don't upload your homemade porn videos

I like to recommend FAVC for DVD encoding. It works with some tricky codecs i found other programs would crash. also though it says AVI i have put other formats in.

Privoxy, an ad-blocker for Google Chrome.

Highly effective and recommended.

To install, download 3.0.16 (or most recent release) and then follow these instructions:

Click on the Wrench icon in Chrome in the upper right corner.
Choose options>Under The Hood>Change proxy settings.
In the Internet Properties dialog's Connections tab, click on the LAN settings button.
Check off "Proxy settings" and in the address setting add 127.0.0.1 and in the port 8118.
If you have the option, you can also check off "Bypass proxy for local settings".
Click "OK," close Chrome and restart it.

Blocks youtube ads as well as news ads (you know, the 15-30 second damned things at the beginning that are super loud)

You should add the Google Chrome web browser to the list. It is very good and its free.
