List of Useful and Free Software v2

I'd like to recommend bookTome, which is a book database program. There's others but I like this ╝♂♣ one. There's a few glitches (e.g. sometimes when importing descriptions from online you get some weird HTML code) but it's frequently updated, the last update was 2 days ago. And there's a portable version, too.

Obviously it's for people who actually read books. ;)

Blender 3D is an outstanding 3D modelling and rendering software. Can b integrated with Yaf-Ray. Supports Python scripting. Released Under GNU General Public License.

YafaRay, formerly Yaf-Ray, another free raytracer. Released under the GNU Lesser General Public License 2.1

I found another program, it is a security program called Secunia PSI which means "Personal Software Inspector." What it does is it searches your programs to see if there any any security vulnerabilities, and then I think it tells you how to fix it. I remember it being recommended many times before. I am running it now.

Browsershots is to take screen-shots of website in different browsers, different operating systems. Compatibility and things. Then it uploads those screenshots to the website but deletes them after awhile.

Found another useful Firefox addon. Optimize Google. You can remove spammy sites, hooray!

Something very useful when posting previews of units, buildings, etc.: Imageshack toolbar.

Does anybody know of a free single-pane outliner other than Tkoutline? I looked at Ume Outliner (found via Google) but it's a preview edition and when I looked at the download page it heavily implied that it would be shareware. The other results in Google weren't so great (shareware, Macintosh, or not single-pane. Also lots of blog entries about Ume.).

Tkoutline will do, for the time being, as an outliner.
However, if you prefer double-pane outliners, you can try The Guide.

Thanks, it looks nice.

Personally, I use Tolon Notekeeper. You can even import pictures. But as of now I'm not going to link to it because the site seems to have been taken over and viruses and such. The program itself is clean.

EDIT: Oh, CNET link.

Well, I haven't had any problem with it.

I give up then!
