VLC media player can also do that, and it plays the media files as well.
Thanks (I said it before but one of the mods turned it into a new thread).
Okay, so I'm working with some documents, RTF files mainly. Is there some sort of online service that will periodically check it for changes and, if there's any, upload to a remote server for backup? Googled and not much help, got a few commercial softwares and ones that delete your data if you don't access it in a while (not good). Easy way to share with others is a good thing for me.
Thanks again.
Dropbox gives you 2GB of free online storage, automatically keeps specified folders ins sync with the online storage, and tracks revisions, so you can roll back changes. The client is also works on multiple platforms and doesn't need admin privileges (at least under linux). It's pretty sweet.
Is there a program that takes an RTF (or text) file and counts the number of characters/words/sentences/paragraphs? Something like the Google Docs wordcount, except a program. Because sometimes Google Docs isn't always the most convenient.
Extra points if it can sit in system tray until I need it.
I looked through about 5+ freeware sites today and didn't find anything. Some stuff for SEO, whatever that means, but it counts how many times a word is used which is not what I need.

1) I'd prefer to use my own word processor if it's possible. I notice that other ones slightly mess up the tab-indents.
2) I use Windows
Thanks for the suggestions though
