There was a post about this in another thread. One poster points out that the term is used historically, but a reply indicates it was used for Friedrich I, not the second.
To be annoyingly pedantic about it: He's always been called "der schiefe Fritz" and oblique may be the weird translation (I don't have a linguistic feel for the english word at all though)
"Oblique" and "Schief" here certainly refer, as JNR notes in the linked thread, to Frederick the Great's use of oblique order tactics in his army. The "Schief" of "Schiefe Schlachtordnung." Given that it's the name for his military persona, it connects that way rather than to any other meaning. To top it off, oblique/baroque have strong aesthetic harmony. It's an awkward coincidence that it also applies to Frederick I, but I suppose it's easy to confuse Old Fred and Tilted Fred. An inclination towards the Schief perhaps runs in the family.
This was a few days ago, so I don't remember the exact numbers involved, but I should ask anyway:
My first time transitioning from Exploration to Modern (and so far only time - I've been having too much fun playing around with different things in Antiquity and Exploration and keep restarting) was going from Abbasid to Mughal. I ended Exploration with Gold Per Turn somewhere around +400, I think, picked the Economic Golden Age that let me keep my cities, and started Modern at like -75 Gold Per Turn. I'm guessing that this was a combination of earlier-age gold buildings phasing out, specialists costing money to maintain, losing my Exploration-age policies, and having almost no towns to turn production into gold, but the massive swing there, particularly as Mughal, surprised me. Am I missing something there? Is the Economic Golden Age perk actually a trap for Modern Age economy (at least to begin?)
I'm not certain about this, but based on experience playing around with Ahsoka, World Renouncer and José Rizal, it seems like you can string together celebrations pretty consistently, so I don't think happiness is getting wasted during celebrations. I haven't found a way to track when the next celebration is coming, though.
What’s the current math behind your gold loss upon age transition? I ended Exploration with over 10k in my bank, but after transition it was only a couple thousands.
And yes, apparently you do lose gold upon age transition. I guess the true age crisis in this game is hyperinflation.
I was in a situation of having a Celebration next turn, and an event giving a bunch of Happiness, making me wondering about overflow. I've run the test, 10 turns with or witheout that event reward, and the result was that the gained Happiness was indeed applied for the next Celebration.

There might be some caps.
I had over 700 Influence at the end of Antiquity age, with +50 / turn. I started Exploration age with 539 Influence, and +39 / turn, leading me to believe that there is a 500 cap on Influence.
So maybe there is also a cap for Gold.
Celebrations should stack, at least for someone like Rizal, because at a certain point, you just never stop partying, and the extended celebration length becomes a massive penalty.
1. Where can I check leader attributes when I don't have a point to spend?
2. For some reason, I can't click on the attribute upgrades that grant a legend. Do I need to unlock all other attributes in that tier to unlock it or something?

For the first one, if you click your own leader banner it should open a panel with a button for the attributes tree at the bottom.
As for the second one, not sure what you mean or how legend unlocked attributes work exactly.

Either key (Settings > Accessibility > Mouse + Key) opens Attribute Screen or by clicking on Leader and one of the tabs has the button dosn below. Legend Attribute are unlocked through the Legend system - rewards for playing as certain leaders and fulfilling challenges.
If I spend influence to improve a relationship, does the amount spent just go into a pot or does it to go/increase the other leader's influence amount?
Those who played some more leaders and Jose Rizal - do you feel like he recieves Narrative Events more often? Does he recieve more because it is easier to hit condition for the extra ones (that is, they are the same in almost every game)?
I am curious about how his ability works. Whether it is just more possible NEs (larger pool) or he has the same amount of NEs but his buff is he triggers NEs more often?

So what are some more ways to get relics? I don't have enough city states to get 12 relics for cultural victory in exploration age (I chose the religion reliquary to give a relic upon city state conversion).
edit: so I am blind. I just noticed there is a third civics tree to research. Here I am looking for theology in the main tree.
I would understand from the tooltip, that if placed on rough terrain Motte would give +4 base and +4 from rough terrain = +8 happiness at least. But as you can see, rough or flat terrain, it only shows +4 base happiness, only bonus accounted for is from the Wonder. Does it mean that something is bugged here? The Motte itself, the tooltip or the estimated yields?
