Isn't this way too early for a 2nd expansion? Rise & Fall isn't even a year old. I was expecting the 2nd expansion sometime in mid 2019. My guess was this was going to be a reveal for new DLC for another Civ (Please Carthage!), but it's going on so long that this would be a pretty big let down for people. Either way I think this type of 'stream' is in bad taste tbh. Just frustrating people at this point.

I thought that initially but looking back at previous Civ games I discovered that there has consistently been just 1 year between xpac releases.

As for this being in bad taste, I entirely disagree. It's a bit of fun!

You would think it has something to do with eruption of Vesuvius, but the city seems too modern. It could still have something to do with volcanoes though. For example it could depict Little Ice Age caused by volcanic eruption.

雲 (kumo), which funnily can figuratively also mean something vague, distant, or depressing.

I just think it is quite funny as a marketing stunt, it's not as if I was expecting us to get any news today so it doesn't annoy me that they've been playing a video of clouds for 4+ hours.
