LK101, Diety, World Map, Civ=TBD

We should at least give them some time to clear a bit of jungle. They'll work more efficiently as native workers than slave labor. ;)

This is definately a much easier starting position than with Russia.. we already have 8 cities, with 2 settlers out I think.. in LK87 we didnt have 8 cities till 570BC :p

I think we should prepare a war with Brazil at some point. It's got about the same number of cities. We could probably take the lux from them. The thing is we can only build archers now.
There is no question we need to beat up Brazil during this game. However, I am of the opinion as long as peaceful expansion is working well there is no reason to start a war.
I would prefer to start the war with at least horseman.

Large blocks of free workers really help our cause. I would actually like to see Brazil build more workers and get some cities that we can raze for free workers before attacking. With the ease that we can build settlers we can easily raze and replace except when the cities have important wonders, or the civ is all but dead. I see the first war with Brazil as a cause pain and get free techs. The Ancient age is when pointy-stick research works the best.

Remember 10 turns per round - STRICT 24 hours got it, total 48 hours to at complete.
5 to 10 turns starting with the industrial age. Once the game starts dragging 48 hours to at least report a status update.

We have one curragh up close to Cuba, heading north. I'll be interested to see if Honest Abe gets an Aztec-Iroquois sandwich again. That's what I call between a rock and a hard place.

I took a look at the game. We have only one less city then Venezuela and Brazil. That is quite a feat when you consider this is deity. We have secured horses. We have a decent amount of tiles already with iron potential.

We are close to contacting America and the Iroquois. If nothing else every new contact lowers the tech prices.

I would like to get the other cow city placed and start to get water to both cow cities.

I agree this start looks good. Right now I only have the typical deity concerns of low military and horrid culture.

problem with culture is mainly we cant build temples yet.. a couple cities could definately need expanded borders to pull in good tiles :)

Military fits the domination goal (although I don't like it),
As in you don't like the military trait, or don't like the domination goal?

lurker's comment: It's the Gaucho, a 80 shield replacement of the Cavalry. 6/3/3 ADM.

Thanks for the link to the .biq LK, I'm having fun trying it as Songhai!

Are you sure? It sounds like more shields for the same thing!
It is same shield cost and stats as normal cavalry, but does not require horses (which is why I asked earlier in the thread exactly what they are riding :p)

I thought regular cavalry was 80 shields. That would make it the same shields for the same thing.

Actually, its probably a good thing it wasn't the penquins. Waiting until lasers (for the laser eyes) would make the UU a bit late.
You sure they are not riding penguins?

They require saltpeter

The are really wolf riders. ;)
