1500 AD
The military situation is worse then I even expected. I didn't expect to find totally naked cities.
I am pleasantly surprised to see every civ on the map please with us. This may end even faster with a diplomatic win.
1510 AD
I am starting to get a better sense why production sucks. Nobamba lost its mines in favor of windmills. If this is on a lot of the map, then I understand the production problems. Income isn't the problem this game - it is production.
1515 AD
(IT) A slave revolt delays Taj by one turn.
1520 AD
I give Gilgamesh a bargain of philosophy for music, wm and $85. It will be nice to have military tradition as a future option.
1530 AD
(IT) We finally are golden.
We pick up some cash from a gold mother lode.
1535 AD
I take care of the first part of the civic changes, and revolt to free speech and free market.
1570 AD
(IT) Gilgamesh declares war on us.

To make it worse, Babylon is now a vassal of Gilgamesh.
I give De Gaulle astronomy to declare on Gilgamesh. This should pretty much insure this is a phony war.
1580 AD
I perform the second civics change - US & emancipation.

New Updates
I whipped our smaller cities hard why the option was still available. Generating enough cash for finish a lot of rushing is tough without killing science.
The tech path is set for steam power so that we get our UB going. That will go a long way toward getting us more shields.
Our HE city should stay on heavy ship duty just in case Gilgamesh shows up with some troops.
I spread our religion more, and got a monastery for the other religions done. I would try to spread those other religions to shield heavy cities to build more monasteries before scientific method.
I built a few more workers, but with lumbermills available we need a lot more.
