LK151 - WM, where are we?

1420 (1): We have 62% of the world's area, but already 68% of its population, so we can abandon cities as we please.

The Babylonians have twenty-five cities (not all shown) remaining in mainland North America. We should be able to take enough of them to win this turn, though it’ll be close.

We abandon Zariqum and replace it with the tactical towns of Several Species Of... and Small Furry Animals..., giving us access to Nippur and Ashur. To do this we have to abandon Walter Gilman in Siberia too, since we're at the city limit.

We take Nippur, defended by four infantry and a cavalry (5-0). We capture three artillery and eight workers.

We storm Larsa, garrisoned by four infantry and a cavalry (10-0). We capture two artillery.

We seize Ashur, held by four infantry and a cavalry (15-0). We capture three artillery and two workers.

We capture Sippar, defended by four inf (19-0).

We replace Ashur with Gathered Together In..., bringing us in range of Eulbar.

We take Eulbar, garrisoned by three inf and a cav (23-0). We capture an artillery.

We abandon another five cities in Siberia that don't contribute to our control of territory.

We abandon Sippar and replace it with A Cave And Grooving..., gaining access to Eridu.

We storm Eridu, held by four inf and three cav (30-0). We capture two artillery.

We abandon Eulbar and replace it with With a Pict and Watching The Detectives, bringing us within range of Akkad and Nimrud.

We seize the present Babylonian capital of Akkad, defended by four inf and a cav (35-0). We capture an artillery.

We capture Nimrud, garrisoned by three inf and one cav (39-0).

Having reduced the Babylonian core to three cities in northern Mexico, we turn now to their tundra towns.

We take Choybalsan, held by two inf (41-0).

We abandon Choybalsan and replace it with Sneaky Feelings and Less Than Zero, bringing us within range of Bonn and Khorsabad, though we may not need to attack in the latter direction.

We storm Bonn, defended by two inf (43-0).

We found Red Shoes, bringing us close to Baruun-Urt in the tundra.

We seize Baruun-Urt, garrisoned by two inf and a musketman (46-0).

We abandon a further twelve cities, largely in Africa, that don't contribute to our control of territory. We then found filler towns, almost all in North America, until we reach the global city limit, bringing us to 66% in land. However, we're over the threshold by so little that even one flip on the IT will probably keep us from winning this turn; so we replace twelve large, resistant Babylonian cities with native towns.

Outside cities we slay five Babylonian cav, while around Cornwall on the other side of the world we smite an Aztec longbowman and scupper an Aztec frigate (53-0).

The Babylonians, showing a fine sense of priorities , make some attacks on the Egyptians in the interturn.

We suffer no flips, and:
