LS Civilization Set

I was thinking about that evil Steam and that I have a privilege of not having to use it, so I decided to reorganise OP, adding some useful things to keep mods updated (like the newest version of mod, date of latest update, through some details to my personal recommendation if update is essential). At last, there is now a cheatsheet, which informs about the updates.

And I have some.
I added music where there was none (credits for finding: Gyra Solune, Lavilledieu).
New diploscenes: Ashanti, Nepal, Scotland, Lithuania.
General code and art polishing.

Set 1:
Fixed a bug, that could allow to use Militia's ability multiple times.
Reduced Baray's Food Kept from 15% to 10%.

Set 4:
Nerf - Nepalese Trait: Mountains now yield +2 Food, +1 Production (+1 Culture after researching Guilds).
//Recoded for those who use Mountains Imbalanced mod.
Durrani:
Trait: Great Writer creating Great Work grants half of the Culture boost. Great Scientist creating Academy grants half of Science boost.
UU: Jezail Rifleman - Rifleman (!) - While starting turn on the hill, it may perform an extra ranged attack against nearby enemy on the flatlands, making an advantage of the high-ground.
UB: House of Poetry - Amphitheatre - +1 Happiness if slot of Great Work is filled. Speeds up generation of Great Writers by 15% (+30% if there is a Mountain Nearby, +45% if city is adjacent to Mountain). // 15% is equal to +1 GWP, but is not increased by other modifiers.
Ashanti:
Trait: Spread Tourism upon capturing cities (greater bonus for Capitals). Land units have Combat Bonus in rival territory based on the difference of influence level. // Combat bonus is +5/10/15%. Spread Tourism is equal to 1x your Tourism or 100, 10% is spread globally. In case of Capitals, bonus is equal to Tourism needed to become dominant (still 10% is spread globally).
New UB: Akrafenasmith - Forge - Can be built without the Iron nearby, but costs Iron in this case. Trained land units can spread Tourism since level 5 if in rival territory. //They can choose a Promotion (multiple times) that grants tourism boost equal to 1x your Tourism or 100. Unit has to be in valid territory.

Set 5:
Zimbabwe UB: (walls) Land Trade Routes originating from this city push back or even kill Barbarians on their path. Other bonuses removed.

Set 6:
Nothing :)

Napoleon redesign:
Trait: Trained siege units can be stacked with other military units (but cannot with civilians). //so now it works on all siege units, gifts from city-state works as long as they are not unique units
Unit: Cuirassier - Cavalry - Temporary boosts the power of other military units (+15% combat bonus) and itself (+25% combat bonus, +1 movement), while moving through your troops.
Unit: Grenadier - Rifleman - 36 Combat Strength (instead 34), at the turn start performs a weak ranged attack (on adjacent target), which breaks target fortification (if fortificated) and reduces defense (-25% Combat Penalty or -5 Defense if city ~ works only until next player starts turn).

If anyone interested, those are civs without music:
Sparta, Vietnam, Mughals, Genoa (War only, current one too short), Minoan (War only), Goths.

D'aaaw, I didn't really feel like Nepal needed a Nerf, from the game I played at least it felt well balanced, I mean sure it gave you an awesome start, but as the game carried on the Mountains still felt underwhelming in the long run, so I don't think that's quite a trait that needed nerfing, as it makes mountain tiles simply underwhelming.

I like Durrani having a new trait though, as it felt sorta similar to Nepal in approach (not helped by the fact that both were in the same set).

That's quite a radical shift though, I feel like you did a complete overhaul of the civilization, giving the units more sensible names too (Though the Jezail Rifleman could simply be called Jezailchi, just nitpicking). Nice idea that of changing the effect of the unique ability to the UB.

Speaking of changing traits, nice idea that of Ashanti, I felt like that should had been the traits at times since the beginning, but I wasn't sure how powerful that would be. RIP Unique Great work at start though.

Are Ashanti units consumed when spreading tourism?

Interesting updates as always!

That French Grenadier looks like it'll be a lot of fun to play with :)

I don't know, I felt that 4 strong yields since beginning is too easy, quick policy grabbing especially. +2F,+1P is still valid option (unimproved good resource) early. In design, trait is making Mountains workable option, not the best workable option.
Terrain-dependent civs cannot be well-balanced.

For me Durrani was always about encouraging GWoL instead keeping GW for decent Cultural Boost, which is ridiculously strong. Though, those were also first civs after obtaining BNW, utilising all the new features.
Funny, I was looking for such a word like Jezailchi, but couldn't find.

Unique Great Work was a failure, because I couldn't stop AI from swapping it. I truely wanted to make it have some special effects, but yaa, couldn't make it work with swap. I kept it as a part of UA, but I think the new effect makes a civ more "dualistic", military spread tourism, tourism helps military.
And that nice idea of Ashanti is a masterpiece of coding, so smooth :D.

Are Ashanti units consumed when spreading tourism?
No, but the Promotion is "consumed" just like the Instant Heal.

That French Grenadier looks like it'll be a lot of fun to play with :)
And yet I was more excited about new Cuirassier and running through other units, boosting their morale. :P Developer's things.

I hope for doing some new stuff once I got back into Photoshopping. I have quite an interesting concept of Alaric's scene, it might be a good start. Or emperor Jimmu.
I would like to update 10,12,13,14 sets before that. 15, 16 and especially Polands can wait... (that 90mb uploading to steam workshop).
In this case, that is a good moment for suggestions if you feel something is not right or can be more interesting. From my side, I am gonna probably think about new Vietnam since defensive civs are simply not appealing.

If Australia is updated, any chance it'll be renamed to and centred on a specific Aboriginal people? Wiradjuri, perhaps?

Well, a long time ago LastSword started pondering on what funky things he could do with Barbarian Camps and I said "hm... Civ Revolution Mongols gave you cities when you cleared them, maybe a civ that does that?"

To what LastSword replied "Well, if you come up with a civilization idea with most of the text done, I'll feel obligued to make it".

And thus the Imbangala were born (more IMBA than gala).

As to what happened to them after that?

Well, eventually I said "yeah no worries I'll update them."

Then I saw the LUA required to get them working and, uh, oh...

look, more updates!

This civ belongs to the Hopethrower now. (useful tool for recreating lost project file)
I don't see a reason to merge what is unmerged here.

And do they work? My mods' main niche is that they are rather working than rather not working.

Since I couldn't find the link, I imagined that they were removed due to bugs or something like that. That said, I was still able to find a download link for them (and the Hashashins, another civ I had no idea that existed) searching this thread.

Yeah, I'd really love to see the Australia mod be made into a Wiradjuri Civilization - I'd be delighted to help with a new map and research regarding new Natural Wonders that they could discover specific to the Wiradjuri area.

I second this!
