Mad Scientist's RPC summary

I was thinking of this for Qin also. Build the Great Wall to within one turn, then settler spam. I like the 1500 BC rule and I can just reload if the AI builds it faster. I may try several maps until I get one with stone, or perhaps wonderbuild it in.

Zara I look at a very wide open game. He's one of the stronger leaders and can handle alot. I would need a signup sheet from reliable posters. I also would encourage creative and amazing changes, examples: destroying all courthouses, giving an AI 1 Nuke in the middle ages (NOTE ONE!!!), changing the leaders on my (can this be done!?) say changing my best friend from someone like Fred to the insane Montezuma. Meant for stickly laughs and enjoyment, like the Sury game.

building in stone sound sreasanoble, lets you do the protective wall rush trick too

how about those signed up have discussions in spoiler tags and are allowed to make a change every certain number of turns and they can vote for what they want to do to you? can we put polls in spoiler tags?

yes, you can alter leader relationships, not sure if you can WB DoWs though making them really really hate you basically guarantees a DoW

You can WB DoWs, or even make irresponsible vassal assignments etc ;).

For the Zara idea, I think Spoilers are the best (I promise not to peek). What essentially I would want is to take my saved game, Modify in some creative and ingenious way, and repost to save. The idea would be to play off teh "Paranoid" Zara aspect!

I've been trying to organise this game for a while, maybe Mad can help me out.

Opponents: Must include - Isabella, Liz, Bismarck.

Must team up with Isabella and Elizabeth vs. Bismarck.

SOOTY'S MAGIC WORDS!!!

Izzy, Lizzy, Let's get Bizzy!

You know you want to...

Any rules, except you can only communicate with Sooty via whispering in your ear ;)

Is Zara going to be next up after Hammurabi? I'd hate to miss this one
can I sign up now? i'm really looking forward to this one. wonder what that says about my personality.......:mischief:/:devil:

Another idea I had kicking about, since Monarch seems underchallenging for the Mad - a no roads challenge ;) Is it doable?

i think its do able but inconvenient
if you prioritised sailing and only settled on rivers or the coast trade would be ok. the major problem is going to be resources, you would have to settle on key resources and trade for others you already had
happiness and health would be big issues and oil aluminium etc very difficult to obtain you need them to be either on rivers or in places you can build cities on.
what leader would you have in mind for this?

Pfft, i dunno ;)

A strong leader anyway, and one that starts with fishing ;) EDIT: I guess that means Liz?

Any map too, probably best on archipelago. Would be interesting anyway...

I really wouldn't fancy it on an all land map, but archipelago i think its do able maybe a level or so down from your usual difficulty

Well mad has been creaming the oppositon of late so we need a proper challenge for him next. And it is a good RPC angle - Liz the non-builder (can she fix it?) - Liz the non-builder (no she can't)!

I'd also take Hannibal or Washington over Liz - :) is going to be extra important.

the ottomans or Babylon for their UBs as well
also anyone with a resourceless UU would be a good shout
I think exp is better than cha as you can make people happy more easily than healthy

Depends on the map. :) is much more of a constraint early which is usually where one needs the help. If you lean heavily on seafood/coastal, then you'll get the health from those. Obviously both is best, making Washington probably best in such a challenge, although Mad's used him already IIRC.

CHA helps with war too though, and unless I understand the rule incorrectly, you don't have to delete roads that SOMEONE ELSE built ;).

Of course, bearing that in mind monty may be the best after all.

I think even if Mad doesn't fancy giving this one a go maybe the three of us could put something together and try it. otherwise we have filled about 6 pages of thread in vain!

When I originally suggested it Cabert said he was up for it...

Maybe a succession game? Maybe on noble though ;)

I'd love to see an "all creative leaders" game where Mad had to shoot for a culture victory (though all forms of victory would be enabled), and had RPC rules appropriate to his creative leader (if he was say Louis XIV, there might be rules about Versailles and the gunpowder tech, for instance).

Not sure, but I am thinking Isabella after Hammarabi. After that I will see how things are

I like this although I would place it with another one. Perhaps when I get arround to Sitting Bull.
I would say Roads are allowed only for connecting resources.

Not sure about this as I am getting a little tired of the battle of the builders, philosophers, and now warriors. I think since the Sury game was against other Sury's this may be covered already although that game was anything BUT culture!
