MAD TV has always sucked, SNL sucks now but there was a time when it didn't suck.

I'll agree with that, but in what little I've seen, I'd say SNL has also rebounded a bit. Perhaps it's due to this neverending campaign and they can come in with a few easy wins, but even then....it feels pretty dry.

Indeed. As a wee young VRWCA, I had the priviledge of seeing the original cast aired live. MADTV could never hope to compare.

I'll disagree with you there. I think the show has actually gotten better. He did some good stuff, notably his cowbell stuff, but the show has some better people now. Plus quite a few of his characters were just Will Farrell wearing different clothes But really it's not that Farrell was bad, because he wasn't, it's just that the cast now is better than the cast they had then.

SNL wins, of course. MadTV can be good, but tends to do better at making me lose my appetite.
