the mafia know each other, the townies only know that they themselves are townies;
two phases, 'day' (48 hours long) and 'night' (24 hours long);
during the night, each mafioso sends the GM (Darth Caesar) the name of a player they want to kill, and a 'clue';
the clue can either be true (points to them) or false (points to another player), but they can't make two false clues in a row;
during the day, the players who are still alive vote to 'lynch' as many players as there are mafia remaining;
the mafia's job is to outnumber the townies, and the townies' job is to remove all of the mafia;
there is also a 'cop', who every night sends in the name of a player to Darth, and he will tell the cop whether that player is a townie or a mafioso;
there is also a 'doctor', who every night sends in the name of a player to Darth, and if that player is attacked by a mafioso during that night, the doctor will save him from death.
It might be clearer to read a recent game because I've probably made it sound more byzantine than it is. A good example of a game similar to this one would be Vanilla with Sprinkles (although that didn't have a doctor or cop in it, just clues).
Okay, so no clues on the first day then. Guess this'll have to be played regular vanilla-style for a while.
I start off the fun by voting for rhawn, Zack and Sprig. They've only got one syllable in their names, and you know what else has one syllable? SCUM. That is 100% definite conclusive proof that these are the guys we're looking for.
Speaking of Scum, Scum contains the letters S, which stands for Skwink Caesar, C, which stands for Camikaze, U, which... um, okay, nobody starts with U, and M, which stands for Mongoloid Cow!
No clues? What is this? We're going to be three down after the first day already. Questions for the GM!: if we abstain, does no-one get killed, and if there is a tie, is it a dice roll?
In the meantime, electric926, choxorn and Takhisis. Just cos.
