What do you get when you cross D&D and an RTS? Why, this game, of course.

I'm having a lot of fun with this. Who here has played it?

Me it was really fun but some of the missions are impossible. High level wizards kill almost everything, but its almost impossible to get them that way because of their low hp.

One thing I love about this game is that it is available in Native Linux form, so I don't have to hope it works in an emulator. :)

(So yeah, I have both a Windows CD and a Linux CD of the same game - and the Linux CD cost me more - but it includes the Northern Waste X-pack, so that's okay.)

Hmm, must be an easy scenario - 11 days, but already a Level 3 Palace, Level 3 Wizards Guild, Level 3 Marketplace, four(!) Guardhouses  (I rarely build more than one!). :D

Edit: I take it back, Elven Treachery is an Advanced scenario. You're doing well, then. :D )

Actually this is just a screen I swiped from Google. I'm still on the introductory scenario.

This game was so much fun to me back in 350Mhz days :) I completed all other scenarios but one I couldn't complete :(

aah, good memories come back to me *installs*

This game looks really fun. When was it made anyways?

It's an excellent game. I used to play regularly, even multi-player. It's kind of like real time SimCity-Civ, only you don't control your units - you only encourage them ;) Very fun.

They are currently making part 2, should be out this year or early next. The original one (vanilla with expansion) you should be able to find in a 'bargain bin' now...usually for $5-10.

I'd say it's up there for top 5 games. Definately original.

Sadly it was cancelled a couple of years ago, but now it's in development again, so :goodjob:

But not by the original developers, (some of whom are working for Firaxis these days).

True, it's '1C:Ino-Co' that developing it now... don't now much about them so we'll see how it turns out.

Good to hear some of the old devs were hired, it was a great concept they came up with and I really looked forward to the sequel back then. They're clearly talented.
