mon dieu! du français canadien!
Rien qu'en lisant, on entend l'accent!!!

blague à part, je croyais qu'on écrivait tabernacle...

Yeah it's written like that usually. Good thing you recognized the accent!

I said : I don't know what you said but can we have a ?$"@% release date to know where we are going here
%?&!@ ?

(I used 2 swear words and one of them is my username ;))

I also wonder..since there is no ETA (or rather EDA) yet, will there be any other changes except the ones listed? Either that, or it will be released on early March.

There was something in the original patch notes mentioning an 'Atoll' - but it got removed quickly after.

Yeah, Chinese people work 14h a day and get minimum wages at the end of the month, with no protection to their health, their country is ruled by a despotic party and they have no freedom of speech and thought. I'm quite sure they are not happy, in general. But they're still the second most powerful economy in the world. I call this "survival", not "happy working citizens".

I see your point, but...I spend every third month in China. The reality is different from what you describe. Which is not to say that there is no censorship and propaganda, or that some people don't work long hours. Heck, I work 14 hour days at least twice a week here in the good old US of A, sometimes three. But perhaps you're thinking of North Korea? I haven't been there, but they seem to have a despotic, oppressive leader. But I can't comment on the happiness of its citizens. Whereas I'd wager there are more happy Chinese than happy Americans.

Blah. I spent quite a bit of time today trying to get the game to insert a .ggxml into the Ascii, but it seems everything is simply too far resolved by the time it loads mods.
Exactly what prevents Z-UI_Greyscale (and any others) from loading at runtime presently, btw.
BlueMarble in Civ4 had it easy simply because, those were globally driven parameters and not XML fields for text in individual files while Font calibrations were as well.
I was hoping for a specific ModBuddy function in this patch but it looks like it will have to wait as i'm sure they are still aware a "Debug/UI" alternative (that could) was replaced by FireTuner routines.

There are no ugly cats.

IIRC, the river mouths (and the flowing paths, at that) had a lot more complex set of models which gave "Atolls" on the coast in Civ4. I understood the initial patch notes as such or that single tile Islands would become more diverse in shapes.
The current Arctic ice iceberg tiles, indirectly.

And yet, using modern-day examples: Is Hawaii less happy than Virginia? Canada is a huge country which seems fairly happy. The least happy part of Canada seems to be Quebec, which is not all that far from the capital. Belgium is a tiny little country that is close to falling apart due to unhappiness.

Granted, some of the dynamics are different in a modern world than an ancient world.
That's a brilliant suggestion. Happiness/unhappiness causes & cures should change as eras progress.

Considering that China has over 4 times the population, that's a distinct possibility.

China is a ticking time bomb however. Wait and see.

The longhouse doesn't have 20% building bonus, so it probably won't have +2 production bonus.
Although the longhouse is a workshop replacement, it doesn't operate so, at least not according to the Firaxian rules.
But according to my rules, the longhouse works as intended, a replacement for the workshop + a bonus. :D

I know it's for gameplay, but I keep getting a mental image of a grain silo stuffed with deermeat. Yuck. :vomit:

I may actually reinstall the game to try these out. I mean, they look like they've changed almost the entire game with this set. I hope it makes resources relevant.

Eh, are they really better than average, or is one of them really good? Babylon is great, but are the Mongols better than average? They seem pretty bottom-tier to me.

a few keshiks can ruin your whole day when used by a human against you in MP. the hard part for mongols is getting there now that horses have been nerfed so much.
