Has anybody else used skills on the street?
I fought off a potential sexual assault last year. Creep grabbed me from behind and started feeling me up and telling me all the things he was going to do to me. It happened so fast I don't remember what I did to him, but I did draw blood and I had some 'splainin' to do to the local constabulary. I don't think he'll grab a woman like that for a while.

Only the first level of the Army Combatives Program for me. It's basically just a dumbed down version of some basic MMA stuff.

No, not really. Twice over the years have I helped stop a fight either at a concert or at a bar just outside a concert. The first time it was enough for me to step between the obvious aggressor and his victim and look unamused (I'm like 190 cm and 120 kg and I work out; the aggressor obviously preferred picking on smaller guys, not bigger ones, so he made himself scarce). The second time I was one out of about four or five or six guys who immediately intervened to prevent one guy from beating down another guy (each of us just grabbed on to whatever part of the would-be fighters was closest, a couple of us herded the one guy off to the bouncers and from there out the door, while the rest talked down the other guy). Apart from that I've never been in a fight since middle school and that's over 30 years ago now; never been attacked or threatened or anything (the "190 cm and 120 kg" part probably helps here).

I have not. I had only one row when I do wing chun (3 years). I felt that usage of my wing chun would be unfair. I knew that my opponent wasnt going to kill me so I just dodged and made ordinary pushes to calm him down.

Not directly, but I suspect if I didn't have enough training to know I can at least take a punch, I probably wouldn't have intervened in an incident of drunken harassment one night a couple of years ago. (as it turns out the bloke just went away after I stepped in, never any serious danger of violence)

 Kudos. Too bad it didn't occur to the local constabulary to arrest the creep for felonious sexual assault.

You seem to have taken this experience rather well ^^
Winning might give me a boost of confidence, but I admit, living through the reality of someone randomly assaulting me would make for some paranoid aftereffects.

As for me, yay, finally found another club doing decent jujutsu, so I might finally break the several years I didn't practice !

It made me a little more careful out and about at night, and a little paranoid too. It did, however make me a little more dedicated to learning martial arts.
