Mass Effect 3

(Those are separate, by the way.) Cleans up the Liaramance and returns it to its (rightful ;)) place as the best romance option for either Shep (especially Femshep)

Bah. My Femshep went with Garrus.

Spoiler :
Well, in ME1, she went with Liara. But now she's with Garrus.

I'm still kind of miffed that in ME3 we're going to have a fight with Liara because almost everyone "cheated" on her in ME2, despite her barely being present in the game until LotSB.

In regards to the weapons DLC: why anybody would pay to make ME2 even easier is beyond me. Even on Insane it's not that hard, but even if it were, paying money to make the hardest difficulty less challenging is mind boggling.

I guess there's aesthetic appeal, but most people have better things to spend their money on.

Kinda pissed I saved Ashley in the first game... I don't want her interrupting my time with Miranda. :p Plus Alenko was lame in ME1. (And the pics of him so far as spectre are pretty sick)

Good thing my Renegade Femshep went with Kaiden.

Garrus' romance is chiefly best as a one-off for comedy value.

lol roleplaying what is that

I can't imagine what appeal variety might have for people.

The Arc projector is the only one worth getting, and it's free. :p

ME2's DLC's cost way too much. I forked the money for LOTSB because it is such an awesome storyline and probably the best level in the game and it connects the storyline with the third game, Arrival because likewise, it advances the whole storyline, Kasumi for the extra character and pistol, and the first Custom Appearance pack because Garrus' broken suit was pissing me off.

I didn't think Overlord was worth the money.

-------------------------------------

I've got an issue. Yesterday my renegade FemShep game got corrupted. I'm not too far in the game admittedly, just finished Horizon and did Miranda's loyalty, recruited Thane and doing Tali's Dossier.

Is it worth restarting?

I never used the Arc Projector more than a couple of times, it wasn't really that useful. Also yes I'd say it is worth restarting, disappointing but I played all my characters twice anyway and I know a number of people who have played it many more times...

Maybe it's not so useful on Insanity, but it's damn useful with husks, Geth, and doing large amounts of damage/destroying barriers on large swathes of enemies at a time. Which heavy weapons do you guys use?

Also how do you use the Cain? :crazyeye: I've never been able to fire it...

I rarely used heavy weapons, since the ammo is kind of annoyingly spread out. I mostly just saved the nuke for the final boss (you need a alrge charge on it, I don't remember if it is 100% or not).

PC or 360?

The Arc Projector's primary utility is on Insanity, and it is subpar compared to squadmates with the Area Overload debuff. Therefore, it is of high utility on missions where your squadmates don't accompany you, namely, Arrival. It's all right on geth-heavy missions, but since these are extremely few and far between, that's not really helpful.

Most heavy weapons that are any good at anything are chiefly niche ones anyway. For instance, the Collector Particle Beam is excellent during fights with Praetorians. Unfortunately, there are only two of these in the entire game. In another example, the Avalanche does a fine job on lower difficulty levels at, well, basically anything. But these are lower difficulty levels, so nobody cares.

Hold the trigger down until it fires.

360.

Really? I swear I held it down for a full 7-8 seconds once and it didn't fire. Any longer and I probably would be dead from the crossfire anyway.

Is the Firestorm any good? I got Zaeed's DLC right before the Suicide mission, so I never had a chance to properly play with it. I figured with it's short range it's probably not worth it.

I don't like it much outside of extremely limited contexts, namely, husk missions. And even then, it's not great. Not a fan.

Zaeed's LM is chiefly useful for the HW ammo/AR upgrade and the P/R points :<

I can't imagine what appeal variety might have for people.

Paying more to have more story and levels is one thing, since it's like a mini expansion. Paying more to have prettier graphics or slightly different gameplay is ridiculous.

It's your money of course, but I find it outrageous that BioWare and other companies try to milk people like that.

she would actually look pretty awesome that way, not gonna lie

would clash with her character of course but since when has that stopped anybody

I'm not a fan either. About half of that is because I dislike her character and the other half is that she's completely useless on any decent difficulty (because neither Pull nor Shockwave can penetrate protections).

New BioWare Pulse episode came out today with a preview of some new gameplay stuff. Outside of rehashing some older things, like the N7 Edition and the Adept's melee, we get to see a demo of a new Vanguard power, a new krogan shotgun (the "Graul"), and a bit more love for the engi.
