Sadly all the goody huts I come across are just basic "map" ones. Do other civs cities get revealed in the map those villages give you?
The one goody hut, I got some gold... coming up on my second shortly.

Got a goody hut (gold) with New Empire and there's a Moose just outside the city! 
But this empire is 1 turn behind in research from what Meganix now has. Plus my old just finished a Civic update. But the land around the city isn't as good as this one. I probably got the better deal. 
The one thing I wish would get adjusted for C2C overall is being 6
in the hole when the game starts.

Done it's Il Principe now. Joseph it took a long time to settle your city down? Your(Mine now) city has 6 food on 2 tiles and 2 commerce. My (Your city now)has 5 food and 1 commerce. But it is the hammer that is the problem. Augustus ceasor has 3 hammers and Mega Nix has 4. There also is some barren land besides my new empire which is useless. So yes my old Empire was little ahead in the long run

Yep I had a choice to make, settle quickly with some barren tiles or travel for 3-4 turns and lose that much research time.

Well if Hydro doesn't take his turn in the next hour it will be tomorrow before I do as Vokayra still has to do a turn too.
I could probably do my turn in no more than 10 minutes. One of the nice things about keeping screenshots is it helps you plan your next turn. Not that there is that much to do at this point.
