Thunderbird, I will recommend Firefox and this app

https://addons.mozilla.org/da/firefox/addon/downthemall/

it allows you to download a file without it screw up if you loose your connection

IDK if Thunderbrd uses Firefox, but I've found that that addon slows my downloads for some reason in Firefox 18 (what I'm using now). He would certainly appreciate the interuption support though.

Thanks for the reference as that does sound cool... and thanks for the warning... I'll hold off. I was able to get the fileset updated to the right rev# and should be good to go though.

Well I've decided tooth pain is better than being half dead without pain. Those tablets are awful. Either suffer tooth, ear and neck pain with a headache or take a merdsyndol tablet and be dead tired and weak. I couldn't even open a a chanchlete bar rapper or lift a book after having that tablet.

Anyway I'll check back on this thread every now and then waiting to say "ok astral download the latest svn now, take your turn then update" ;)

That's probably not going to happen any time soon (there's a support ticket opened with sourceforge, but who knows how long that will take to resolve). Download V28 and install THAT (keeping your UserSettings folder) and then continue.

Ok I'll try and have this all sorted within the next 12 hours ;)

Edit: Downloaded the right svn update for the v28 release now sorting out the folder and should take my turn within 1 hour

Ok my turn of v28 is done! next persons turn :)

Note: I said I would do this in 12 hours yet it took exactly 2 hours ;)

My turn done - Meganix is up....

Everyone please note - if you have upgraded to V28 correctly you should NOT see a 'recalculate modifiers' prompt (because padams did it, and it only needs to be done once). If you do see this this prompt it is strong indication you're upgrade is not correct.

turn done without the game is asking for calculations
Magnus now..

Sorry I am a bit confused. I updated the SVN but all it updated was the documentation and save files. Why are the rest of the files not updated to v28? How am I suppose to take my turn?

Sourceforge is broken, and cannot upload large files to https SVNs currently (I have a support ticket outstanding with them), which means we cannot update the FPKs. For that reason you need to use the regular V28 download to update with (it's the same thing) - just make sure to keep your existing UserSettings folder.

I tried to revert my SVN but it did not work. I do have a copy of v28 when I was going to upload it to the ModDB but I do not think its the same. It may be 2 to 3 SVN commits behind the "official" v28.

What should I do?

EDIT: I guess I am downloading from ModDB. *groan*

This may take awhile.

Get it from the main SVN - it's rev 4681 (which is the one AFTER the one that CLAIMS to be V28 in the revision comments)

The ModDb version is the right one :)

I'm done with my turn. I copied my exported version of SVN 4681 to the C2C MP folder, then opened the save and was not prompted for a modifier recalculation, so it seems that I did the update correctly.

JosEPh_II is up.

Turn done T-Brd Up!

T-Brd please remember praetyre needs you to post the save, okay? Thanks. :)

JosEPh

Ok. This took some time to upload given the internet speed and instability I'm working with here but your save is here Praetyre!

Hmm... I must've made a mistake somewhere in the recalculation process regarding traits. I seem to not be showing as if I have any traits but I'm showing all the modifiers. And perhaps there's a bug in the civic revolt time modifier... seems I got no revolt time for a civic change. Urgh! I'll look into both as soon as I can.
