Well, the game is running and the save loaded - partly. It's asking "Enter Password for Acularius", so he either changed the password, or it's asking for the generic MP one. I'm guessing it's the former, as I'd expect it to auto-enter if it was the generic one. However, does anyone know the default, generic MP password? For the people who didn't set/change their default password, do you have to enter one to be able to play your turn? If so, what do you enter?

Sigh... we may need to start our game over entirely to continue if he doesn't return then. Doesn't the one who started the game have some kind of moderator power to retire a player?

I imagine Acularius is having computer access problems. He was borrowing a computer in the expectation that a new one was arriving when he started with us.

If 12padams set an 'administrator password' when he set up the multiplayer game (in the Create Custom Game screen) then there *should* be a way to do that, I'd think, but I don't know for sure. As guesses, he (12padams) could try loading up Acularus's turn and enter the Admin PW and see if that gets him in, or he might have to do it on his turn which wouldn't help much. Sorry, my multiplayer experience is limited and never dealt with this situation.

As a different note, if you guys do restart I'd be interested in being involved from the start. Though if the game is restarted I'd strongly suggest that someone, perhaps one of the developers who isn't playing, be given everyone's passwords so this doesn't happen again.

Theoretically, this save game could be retained in the MP SVN on the off chance that Acularus does return at a later date and is interested in continuing. Just a thought.

I'll have a look later today and see if I can recover the password under the debugger during the load process...

If a pass wasn't set (like I did) then there is No password needed nor is there a Generic. Acularius obviously did set one.

@Meganix, Yeah I did have to enter your pass the 1st turn after we swapped but not any turn after.

Ok, I have hacked the game - I wasn't able to recover Acularius' password, but I was able to change it and resave. I have done so and pushed that save to the MP SVN. I will PM the new password to Magnus immediately...

How did you do that? And can it be done again if someone else becomes inactive?

I ran it under the debugger, skipped the line whe it verifies the password and that was enough to load it for me. I then just changed the password and saved the game. Yes, I could do it again.

That worked. I'm in the turn, but there is a list of "BUG options - failed writing INI file" then listing where on my drive the files are for: "ROM Settings" and "Diplomacy Settings". This is repeating over and over. Is this going to be a problem?

Edit: Nevermind, I fixed the problem. I can write to them now.

I can give it another 1/2 hour but if it doesn't happen by then it will be tomorrow for me.

Did something happen to the turns? I just loaded up the game and it says I'm at the beginning of turn 6. My last screenshot was taken at the end of turn 6, so we lost a round of turns somewhere. I'm very confused.

Are you going to take your turn?

I think I may have uploaded the wrong file. :(

ls612 can you upload your last turn again and then I can re-take my turn?

EDIT: Nevermind I can just update to revision.

EDIT2: Vokarya I will upload a new version as soon as I can take my turn again. The mod take awhile to load. :(
