@T-brd

I have just seen my turn to check that you stole my Sphinx. It's unbelievable, I'd complete it passing this turn. No worries though, I'll compensate for that. For everything my capital is forbidden to do, it means lots of spare resources to channel somewhere else.

I'm glad whisperr decided to abandon this game now, this means her Empire is now in peril. As anyone may check my capital in the top 5 cities list, a good exercise would be to sum up all XP bonuses it gives to trained units. And with all those cultures I've been building, thanks to Joseph, I have enough potential to wreak havoc even if I fail to get some strategic resources (not that I'm short on those either, am I right Vokarya?).

Well played ;)

Spoiler :
Just wait to see what I can come up with

mwahaha! You don't think that was an accident do you? I'm about to complete the Cheomsongdae and I notice you're 2 rounds out from Sculptures (that's the tech right?) and hey... it just so happens to be the most advanced tech I can take for free when Chomsongdae finishes, so I can get a leg up on capturing it's benefits out from underneath you there so... why not right? I also timed it so that I should be finishing the sphinx a round before you could. I suppose ya gotta wonder what I was doing in the city that built it for the few rounds I had before I had to start it to pull that timing off huh? lol. Successful as you've been, you needed to have a few rounds wasted somehow.

Since powerful cities with decent production are few and far between, I had a pretty solid guess as to how fast you could build it. My timing was spot on apparently.

I'm well aware of your military strength and of the amount of territory you can currently walk all over. I ain't skeered!

It was my fault to presume that with so few EPs you got on me you shouldn't be able to see what I was researching. No longer I'll let that happen ;)

I won't complain on those 500:gold: I got, that'll let my expansion to keep going forward.

Really? Are you sure about that? It's time to review that if you don't intend to let me keep the 2nd place in :hammers: that I've just achieved.

Would you also say that Chiefdom's  penalty makes expansion at this stage impossible like Koshling did? I still have plenty of room to expand, and plenty of :) on my cities to avoid that penalty (even with you stealing the Sphinx from me).

BTW, Turn Done, Vokarya is up

Glad to have been of service. :)

I know that there is only one city with population over 10 and when you get a higher city count, production charts showing the full nationwide production tend to be misleading in a wonder race.

I wouldn't say that's an ultimate limiter, no. I don't underestimate your ability to grow.

In wonder race you're correct. But otherwise I can tell you you aren't. If I say half my cities have a substantial production, would it be enough to show that? And curiously they aren't as separated as you might think. I'm glad we could play this game again, It's the only one I'm playing that's in a stage where we can compete in several fields of the game, unlike the two new games where there isn't much to do yet

I know you've had to have captured some good strong cities and have some core ones not far behind mine. But I know our best must be fairly comparable. That's all I needed to know for the wonder race. Now... I realize you can plug out units too. But I'm a bit far away for a truly strategic player to be rushing to attack I think. And if not... well... homefield has its advantages when the opponent is coming from afar. I'm just enjoying the distant rivalry :)

Yeah, this game has been fun to spark up again. Thanks for fixing it!

You're right, but it isn't my intention to pay you back by invading you. I'll do it with whisperr's ex-civilization (not because it's your wife's old civilization, but because you opened a window where I can train some units prior to the next assignment I have for my capital). It's hard to train units and try to gather as many wonders as I can in the same city. As I said a long time ago, I do think Unlimited Wonders may break C2C by letting a player become too powerful because of a single megalopolis. And if I can I'll show this.

It was a pleasure to fix it. I believe my new pc will arrive next week, then I'll come back to debugging C2C. It has been a pain to do it with this slow machine.

Meh... that's the whole point. No such thing as too powerful so long as your opponents understand the pathways to power as well.

Makes sense.
