Master of Arcane - small mafia game

I did say "such as it is". :) I agree that it is easier when we identify scum, possible third parties and the like. So far, KingMorgan and Legato Endless stand out as the people most heavily involved in selecting people who were going to duel - in fact, KM has been intimately involved in all three, to Legato's two.

I checked three of Newwyns scum game, in all of them he posted less than he has in here and he was less aggressive in all of them.

Leaning town on riedquat, newyn, edse at least.

Give me an opinion, such that it is. :P

Gotta start somewhere. If I'm still alive I'll do some looking myself.

Kennigit, legato bsmith are all good starting points for scum. spaceman/km as well i suppose.

edit: I am just restating myself, I should go to sleep.

Kennigit has been rather quiet, I agree. For me, the most interesting part of the game is the revelation of people's fighting schools or factions, and we know that Kennigit fought with illusion way back at the start of the game, so maybe he too is adopting RL traits of his character's role. :)

(You've changed your avatar mid-conversation. Bad Visor!)

Okay, thoughts on everyone, go. :P

the fact that you are at least chatting to me and kennigit isn't is a point in your favour and not in his at least.

I'm more interested in the powers, I know the kind of stuff jarema likes to mess with so I'm looking out for particular claims of powers rather than magic schools.

I have not been quiet

People choose to ignore fundamental game mechanics

Because you know darn well visorslash i talked to you in terms of magic schools, and have talked about confirming this curse ability, and talked about roleclaims claiming exclusively defensive properties (eg mine), and about strengths over time, but other people (to lay finger on say newyn) have talked about confirming spaceman's claims via mechanics that may or may not exist (eg scan him and see if he has a result)

Because of like the 5 abilities I have heard about, only zack claimed an active night action, and we KNOW that everybody has an ability such that the mafia have one too

like people metagame about a double voter or something being a more "townlike" role when they fundamentally do not seem to be discussing the game in terms of strength.

A cursed double voter losing MP is a worthless doublevoter in this endgame, whereas typically a double voter is incredibly strong in the very end game in like 2v6 scenarios

Slight correction: only zack claimed an activw night action not tied to mp or strength*

Shouldn't you be in bed, Visor? :p

Zack claimed to be a jack-of-all-trades and was revealed as a diviner, so that likely means that we don't have any game-killing cops (or at least not any reliable ones). Spaceman claimed to have been cursed to suffer -1 MP on Day 2, which is probably a necromancy or transmutation power, yet his infamous power he claims is conjuration, sounds more like abjuration and could easily be several other schools too. KM's double-voting perfectly suits his enchantment school, so his is at least uncomplicated.

Judging purely by Jarrema's initial write-up, I'd expect to see an evoker as a vigilante, someone who can mess with results with illusion, maybe a role-blocker who's an abjurer, a transmuter or necromancer who could perhaps heal wounds and maybe a diviner could guess someone's unique power.

Iirc day 1 i also talked to visorslash that perhaps 1 person of each school has the passive ability and 1 person of each school has the active ability but my counterpart (southernking it seems) never contacted me

Abjurer power is defensive.

I think it was Newyn who said there are likely to be two wizards from each school, so you're suggesting that both abjuration powers are defensive? It stands to reason, obviously, but I'm sure that Jarrema is not going to be too obvious (cf. Zack's power).

Mine is at least. I can't speak for anyone else.

There is a big difference between defensive at night or defensive in the day

What if an abjurer was immune to disadvantage or something in the day lynch even if receiving more votes (i forget KM exact claims on his tiebreaker stuff, but i believe it was just tiebreak)

A scum abjurer could like 1v3 the town if the schools aligned in that case

That's a scary proposition!

You know I assumed you only had it active at night before but your actual PM did not specify

So that changes everything mr visor!
