Math04: Another 100K

Located Mathias's post in MATH02 about that chieftain game. For the rest of you who are interested it's Bamspeedy's 100k with 5CC.

Edit: For those of you, like me, who have NIS/PF you have to turn off your security settings to see the save. It's located on post #5.

Calcutta: Switch to either a coliseum or an university. I would finish the university first via short-rushing the coliseum.

Delhi: Switch from Sun Tzu’s to JS Bach’s. After Bach’s build a courthouse. Delhi is getting to that point we are going to cut back on cultural builds, so we really don’t need the palace here anymore.

Madras: We need to switch to the Palace immediately. Madras can have it done in 5 turns. This will allow both Calcutta and Bangalore to be less corrupt. I don’t believe Lahore will change that much.

Bangalore: Currently maxed out in pop so we need to max out spt. It also needs to switch to a wonder, possibly Cop’s?

We need to figure out which city would be the best for both Cop’s and Newton’s. I’m wondering if Bangalore would be the best. It does have the second best commerce of the five (behind Delhi).

Tech-wise I would suggest Navigation than Economics (for their wonders). After that possibly head towards Shake’s. Though this depends on what the AI’s have researched. I suggest we research towards any techs that give us wonders or culture, at least until we reach the IA.

Wow, talk about cutting it close to make the win. This could bec the most challenging cultural game ive ever had. I say lets go the distance. If we dont win, that doesnt mean that we didnt play a great game. Doing the math, it would be extremely difficult to generate 100k in just 5 cities. If Mathias' math is right, we'll cut it close. Id say we need to get those Aztec lands and Byzantine lands, then go straight for the Inca.

The only nation that threatens us is Inca in terms of research. I say, we dont sell techs anymore, unless desperatly needed. We take out 2-3 civs, and have good prebuilds, and we should get it, not with ease, but get it.

Math did you figure in if and when we get armies? There are wonders out there when that comes...

HE, Pentagon (later), MA. Those all generate culture, 2pt, but if we can squeeze these in somewhere, it would help. If we got those round 1400 (Pentagon probably not) we'd throw in 4cpt extra. Thats gotta be about 2000culture in the end.

Sun Tzu's in 5 turns closes the cascade. So long as Inca do not have Music Theory or Astronomy, they would be forced to switch to KT. They'd have Crusaders, but we'd have little or no competition for all remaining wonders.

We cannot afford to buy Chivalry at monopoly price, but if another civ gets it in the next few turns, it would be easy to trade for, and I would be more than happy to waste a few shields in Madras to build KT under the wire.

Hold that thought. Just reread turnchat, and noticed we have no beakers invested in Banking... we can pick up Chivalry ourselves in 4 turns, waste about 100 shields in Madras for KT, then close the door on the AI a turn later with the completion of Sun Tzu's and The Great Lighthouse. Not only that, but KT will trigger our Golden Age!

Good observations, I didnt KT would trigger our GA. That would put us in great shape.

Sorry, I didn't have much time to post this. I'll post comments tomorrow.

Got it, and how do you guys see we should proceed?

We can take Tlaxcala, and keep the city where it is. Lahore expands in 17 turns, then the game and the hill next to it will be within our borders.
The settler near Madras can head to the plains south of Chittagong.
Settlers NE of Lahore and E of Kolhapur build next turn.
Settler SE of Kolhapur to build W of lake.
Two WE near Bangalore are heading to Atzcapotzalco.
Horses near Tlaxcala should wait for WE in Lahore to heal.
Workers will complete forest and mine near Lahore this turn. Join one native to the city next turn for max pop. We're still 40+ turns from rails, so plant forest on the two game for Lahore.
Delhi still needs Courthouse, and should build Leo's before Bank.
Bombay and Karachi need MM next turn for growth.
With the Harbor, Jaipur can work 3 mountains at size 6.
We need to make peace with Aztec before too long, war weariness is starting to affect us. Lux to 10% would cost us 46 gpt, and we don't need most of the happy faces we would get.

We might want courthouses in Lahore and Calcutta before they start next wonders (Magellan's and Smith's)
I'd like to get courthouses in Karachi, Jaipur, Punjab and Hyderabad as well.
Aqueducts in Karachi, Jaipur, Kolhapur and Punjab.

We don't need to take the Aztec capital. I'm for peace as soon as we take Tlaxcala and Atzcapotzalco. Concentrate on some needed improvements while we are still in GA, then prepare for war with Inca.

Ill have it tomorrow.

Preturn- Send settler near Madras on his way to Chittagong.

IBT- Madras expands. Calcutta Market->Courthouse. Jaipur Harbor->WE.

Turn 1(460AD)- Switch the Delhi build to court. Due in 2. Fortify the 2 horsemen on the forest near the Aztec city in the north. Build Ganges in the north. Found Pune. Join one native worker to Lahore. Cash rush a courthouse in Lahore.

IBT- A horse near the north Aztec town defeats an attacking archer. Navigation->Invention due in 4 @ 50%. Lahore Court->Magellan's. Thats due in 13. Hyderabad WE->WE. Punjab WE->WE. 2 archers are near our elite horse in the south.

Turn 2(470AD)- Send 3 WE towards Atzcapotzalco. They'll hit next turn. Kill a few units south of nation. Nothing else much.

IBT- Delhi Court->Bank. Bengal Court->Market.

Turn 3(480AD)- Build New Delhi. MM Madras so that we can switch the palace build over to Smiths wiht 1 more turn on Palace. Have to raise lux to 10% for this one turn.

IBT- Chittagong riots, my bad.

Turn 4(490AD)- Raze Atzcapotzalco. Time for peace. Get 9g, his WM, and a town for peace. Thats pretty good for how back they are now. I took the farthest away town because that took away their Iron.

I only had time for 4 turns right now, cause im doing something for a few hours, I'll have the rest tonight, unless something comes up (family might come over) So, now that the war is done, just preparing for Inca invasion. Were looking good.

The Palace is NOT a prebuild. Also, we should not study Invention, the Inca already have it.
