May 2006: what are the optimum requirements?

Minimum requirements always tends to be insufficient, and overkill to expensive.

The game has been in the market for 6 months and it's time to reconsider?

So: What kind of motherboard / CPU / memory, and what kind of graphics CPU do you consider as optimal requirements for the game?

• No overkill
• single core CPU
• single graphics board

I would consider as best case:
- Single core CPU at least 2Ghz for Althon. Slightly higher spec for Intel.
- 2Gb of RAM
- Nvidia series 6 or similiar spec ATI card with 256 of video RAM onboard with onboard cooling.

My current spec runs the game pretty much fine (large worlds, 8-10 civs).
