Is it (mic-A-fee) or (MAC-a-fee)?

How do you say it?

Anyone know what's officially correct?

Are you sure this is worth a thread of its own?

You're all wrong.

Ma-ca-fy.

I refuse to answer on the grounds of lack of IPA notation.

MAC a fee, as pronounced by someone who worked there for many years.

Oddly enough, the founder of the company, John McAfee was born in the UK. I guess McAfee isn't a very common name over there, eh?

Given that 5/6 of of Brits are English, and not Irish/Scotch, it is not a common name, no. Mohammed, however, is.

And I will continue to call it line-ux. Again cannot say I care what the creator or anyone else says it should be.

Same for me. I pronounce it as niche-piece-of-crap.

I personally pronounce it just the way it sounds. But I just thought I'd throw it out there.

And avoid Padma.
