Medieval European Mod II 2016-10-05

:D Well, the name Welsh and Wallone are derived from the same word as Wallachia (Volcae, a tribe in today's Switzerland), so maybe he means that. :D

(actually there are many names in France and even some in Italy derived from that name)

Maybe, it's still on idea stage.

The jungles have been turned to Woodland now, so playing on maps with lots of "jungle" isn't a problem. Woodland is a mix of open land and scattered forests, so it's pretty easy to cut down.

ED was working on a soundtrack, I'm not sure what the status on that is right now though. We are both having exams, so that takes up much of our time.

Cool news on a update coming out I hope the new soundtrack makes it on there aswell. Here guys Mybe my Bigheads mod will make it on the next release?

Cool eh? You gotta guess his nationality and attidude the old fasioned way,... by lookin at em! ;)

God how long are thy.
I have my last one today, then I'm officially out of school for a whole year. :D

:woohoo:

But Wallachia in Western Europe?
The map just goes as far to include Romania. If you want to see the map then download it (you can see it in my profile if you scroll down), it's called Western Europe Map.

No wonder you are having trouble with the terrain when you are using the wrong one! Why on earth don't you use the original terrain, with no jungle?

I don't think we're interested in using those bigger heads. I for one like to see their oppinion of me, when I talk to them.

42 degrees here :(

43 here and I'm in your north! (though not far away)

Ah, I see. Nice, accurate Carpathians, Sweden, Greece...

1.1 patch will be released soon(TM) and will include some fixes, changes, new graphics.

Additional map(s) and scenario will be likely separate downloads, same with soundtrack (if at all ;) )

And yes, please remember the mod uses custom terrain, not just standard Sn00py's, so don't replace it. Most importantly, the jungle is replaced by a new woodland graphic + there are LM terrain tiles like alps and palm trees used on premade maps. I'm willing to work on an optional set based on Ares', but I'm waiting till he releases his 2.0 version.

18 degrees with heavy wind and occasional storms here ;)

oh, and that's how 11th century Europe (with some future flashbacks) scenario looks with grown borders. I'm still opting for ungrown borders at the beginning, it changes fast and offers some variety in this otherwise stale situation (since there's no locked wars).

Looks awesome.:goodjob:
I love to play scenarios the most I guess because I prefer historical accuracy the most.

How come the abbasids have daghestan if you don't mind me asking?

Since, as far as I know, it was an independent muslim emirate at that time, it made most sense to give it to the (dying) Caliphate which Derbent was part of just a century ago, rather than to Turks or non-muslim neighbors.

Do these include workers from Plotinus?

That was the plan, but I'm not sure now. Apart from the trading problem, there are some AI problems if worker units are at the end of the list and I can't re-index it at this stage of the mod, or all associated scenarios would be screwed. I'll be making some tests and see if I can come up with something.

What is the advisable difficulty level one should play at?

I tried playing as the Byzantines, at emperor level. Even with early exploration and chekcing at each turn who has what tecks so as to stay at worst 1 tech away from the leaders, i only have four cities when some civs have over double that...
I do not have an army, and could not built any early wonder.

So i am thinking that, since there are even harder difficulty levels, this part of the game possibly was a bit overlooked?

Just had to say....awesome:crazyeye:

I really admire the time and effort you guys put in (and are still putting in) to make this Mod.

Cheers!:D
