As Private Eye so concisely pointed out, the usual name is "Meph", "drone" or "M-Cat".

Meow Meow was first used in the Sun where it was plastered on the front page after that girl died (who was later found to have died from a bronchial infection).

The Sun apparently took the name from Wikipedia, where some enterprising soul had put it as the "street name", even though it was never used prior.
Had the sun carried on reading, they would have read it's also called "Mugabe" and a drug dealer is called "The Chinese"

Not tried this drug (and gave up seriously taking drugs nearly 10 years ago) but I did have E and some pure MDMA. It was enjoyable.
