My theory is that the eastern warrior just stumbled uppon a Russian warrior after it had moved. I beleve that the Russian Warrior came from the east and I predict that the Russian Warrior would move north.

You could always take the current number of turns (24?) and make a guessimate on where Russia is located based on where that warrior is coming from (and the number of tiles around him in the fog). My guess is that Russia is to the east or southeast.

The general directions for exploration look good. Perhaps though we should not try and micromanage the route by specifying every step, but allow the DP the flexibility to take advantage of the terrain and circumstances to get the best out of the exploration. We need to say not to enter enemy territory though (if that’s the plan) just in case we come across another Civ sooner than we expect.

We also have another Warrior to be produced in approx 6 turns – this one may be needed to escort the next Settler, but could in the meantime ether act as military police/defence for the capitol, or explore close to the city, returning in time for the Settler.

I beleve that the Russian City(ies) may be 24 tiles away. But should we attack them? No, our forces are way to week to attack any civilization at the moment. Right now we should focus mainly at shooting at reaching to a minumum of 10 warriors.

Il Create a different Exploration map, but this time in a different format inspired from the Hurricane tracking maps.

Later On Ill create a discussion thread on if we should attack Russian in the future.

Ok, were still in part A in the exploration phase. Here is the latest map in the exploration.

The arrows are the general direction on where the warriors go, the enclosed area is what I call the free movement area so that the DP can easely move around blocked paths and other hazards.

Good idea to do the free movement area CG - it indicates where we want to explore, but allows the DP the flexibility as well as going round obstacles to also take advantage of eg: mountains to see further. Might be worth considering allowing movement outside the area to pop a hut if one's spotted and then return to the area again.

The Warrior defending against the Barb and then going West - is that going to be exposing the unexplored area in the West, picking off any Barbs on the way? I would like to see the coast at the bottom of that area exposed so that we know whether or not there is a land bridge - it may affect our provincial boundaries.

The Warrior by the dyes I would tend to take round the West of that little lake so we see the width of the landbridge we're on. The position of that lake may allow us to build cities to make a canal across at that point - depending where the coast goes of course.

I wasn't sure about the Warrior near Russia, whether to go North into unexplored regions or find more of Russia - but hopefully we can trade maps soon so probably North as you say would be best.

The Warrior, after defending itsefl against the barb, will head to the location where the last warrior was killed by the barbarian ambush.
