Minecraft

As I said, it destroys multiplayer servers, where somebody can go around digging up a bunch of dirt, and make a suit of diamond armour out of it.

I have similar complaints about IndustrialCraft weapons, but whatever.

Funny, I don't recall the last server I played on getting ruined by EE, despite a few people using it. Most of the players didn't bother with using EE and still ended up building their own homes (although obviously mining lazers were popular, but even then lots of picks were still used). Those who were using EE greatly helped with supplying building projects or creating fun stuff or tools which made Minecraft significantly more interesting and less mindless tedium.

Sounds like you just played on a crappy server, which really is your own fault (well, and whoever ran the server).

You know how much dirt it takes to make a single diamond? 8192 blocks. EE is extremely expensive and end game. It doesn't break anything. It brings about the fun massive building project part.

Equivelant exchange is what makes Tekkit bearable. :p

I tried installing a mod, now minecraft won't work at all

BTW, the mod is Single Player commands. I'm trying to get a mod that allows me to fill in this map I'm making:

Did you do it manually? They have an automatic installer for it, if your problem was installing it wrong.

Do we still have a CFC multiplayer map?

I wouldn't mind a vanilla server for us Civfanatics. I'd get one myself, but I can't afford it. :(
