You dont need a second copy. Im pretty sure you can login more than once with your single copy.

You need two copies to play multiplayer, as far as I can tell... And probably will when survival MP comes out?

I'll test it tonight and find out but if i do need two copies thats no problem, I have two copies of a lot of games and this one is cheap as chips.
