I'm talking of the federal minimum, which many states follow (including Wisconsin). The $15 is not an increase that will happen federally (at least not yet), just what some are proposing.

Sep 1, 1997 $5.15 for all covered, nonexempt workers
Jul 24, 2007 $5.85 for all covered, nonexempt workers
Jul 24, 2008 $6.55 for all covered, nonexempt workers
Jul 24, 2009 $7.25 for all covered, nonexempt workers
In the early 90's when I started working it was 4.25 then 4.75, but I don't have the actual years handy.
