Minor Features, your hopes?

^ This.

Also:
- Allow non-combat units (Workers, Settlers, Great People) to be stacked, or to at least allow 2 per tile
- Get rid of the Scared Worker ('oh no, I've spotted a barbarian on the other side of your territory, I need you to keep telling me to build this road every turn until you kill it')
- Units set to Explore do not enter the territory of non-friendly City States
- More clarity on the Diplomacy screen: more detailed information on Civs' stances with each other as well as with the player, information on how many Cities they have, which Era they're in, and which resources can be traded to them. At the moment, you can only find out stuff like this by going into the Leader screen, which is cumbersome and annoying, especially if you don't have a top-of-the-range computer and have to wait for the screen to load.

If you press the Diplomacy Overview, (wher eyou can see your past deals) you get the Era info, their luxuries etc.

I know that I can see their luxuries; what I want is to be able to see quickly and easily the luxuries they don't have so that I know I'm not wasting my time when I go into a leader screen to offer them a trade.

I have to say I have never noticed Era info in the Diplomacy Overview. I will have a look for it the next time I play.

I believe it's the third tab, it shows who they are allied with (CS) and who they denounced, war, DoFs etc.

Oh. Thanks!

*feels stupid* :mischief:

Oh don't worry, For a very long while I thought the purple tiles in city screens was recommendations of which tiles I should purchase, it wasn't until somebody on the forums told me it's the next tile that I'm gonna absorb xD

I want to see a way to change graphics midgame rather than having to quit and restart. I can do this in so many other games... but not this one.

I hope they change liberty, tradition and honour around a bit. I don't dislike them but feel they could be better.

-option to prolong open borders before your units are kicked out
-auto-activate ranged units in city when enemy is nearby instead of having to activate them manually every turn
-limited stacking for airplanes

-limited stacking for airplanes

While I agree that in vanilla bombers and SBs are overpowered I'm not sure that limited stacking will have much of an effect on that, unless the limit is a very small number. As I said in another thread, with 20 range it won't be much of a handicap to only have 5 stealth bombers per city.

The larger tech tree resulting in more prerequisites could be an effective nerf. The situation that we really want to avoid is being able to have a fleet of SBs when your enemies have rifles and knights. This also is a result of overpowered GS and RAs. We know that RAs are getting a nerf via friendship diplomacy factors at this stage. I'd also say that the bulbing mechanic has at least a fair chance of getting a tweak. So air combat could receive an adequate nerf through indirect changes.

It's not that I disagree with limited stacking for planes, having 50 bombers in a city is silly, but I bet those indirect changes will be more effective.

I think we need a compromise on the worker. I lost a lot of workers in Civ IV to cavalry units because I didn't realize the workers were in danger and could be reached by an enemy unit on the next turn. However, in Civ V, it has gone too far in the other direction. Workers stop working when no enemy can get to them without capturing a city first.

It would be better if they just brought the camera and attention to the units, without making them stop working.

I just thought of a minor feature I'd like. It's something in relation to the new features too:

I'd like an option to set the number of religions in the advanced set up screen.

That would be interesting. I could see setting it to zero if you don't like religions, but if you set it to 1 then it makes some bad imbalances.

Well, yeah, but it's still a player's choice. The default would be half the number of civs. I also think more than that could be unbalanced, but it's still a choice.

Show queued move routes for units when they're selected
It's so frustrating to have a unit get blocked from its path and want new orders, and not know exactly which of your 5 of that unit type it was and where it was going, and being able to select a unit to see how long until it gets where it's going would also be helpful, and also to change the route of an already moved unit partway through the turn and have it just act on that new route starting from the next turn instead of having to wait until the next turn to change the orders :T

You get to pick your religion when you found it right?

I also want the AI, when picking their religions to pick an 'authentic' one. Arabia for instance might be biased towards Islam, followed by Christianity then Judaism and maybe Zoroastrianism. This doesn't mean they will pick the same religions every game, but it does mean that I wont have to contend with Shinto Arabia every game.

This doesn't seem like a big deal but the fact that I would consistently meet Buddhist Spain in Civ 4 was what truly destroyed my immersion in that game.

-Ability to rename units at will.

-Remove, or at least increase, character limit for city and unit names.

I hope the expansion allows you to immediately skip the intro movie, and just have a normal loading screen instead.

I know you can change it in the .ini or whatever, but it is just so dumb to have to watch the first 15-30 seconds of the video every time.
