1540 AD (0)
Wake up a big stack and head them towards the Aztec capital. We should be finished witht he Aztecs in a couple of turns so I will start preparing for war with Carthage. I rush some Libraries near the Carthage border to get them expanded prior to the beginning of war.
(I) Renew MPP and RoP with Arabia. They can play with the Carthage navy as we will have airports.
1545 AD (1)
We give Teayo the what-for and then raze it. We get only one worker but we do get a GL to build another army with. Unfortunately there was no settler in the stack so farther operations this turn are stalled.
(I) The Aztecs send two infantry in to die.
1550 AD (2)
We pound the Aztec capital and raze it. We get more workers this time. I found a city under our northern stack to give us instant roads and rail, then move a combat settler in and abandon it. We then pound Tlaxcala and take it long enough to get another settler in place. This allows us to bring up the reserve artillery and reduce and raze Tamiun. The Aztec's are down to playing OCC. I then make farther preparations to begin war with Carthage next turn. Just for the heck of it, I send a tank stack through thier territory towards the last Aztec city to see if they will let us pass.
(I) As expected, Carthage asks us to move or declare, I chose to move and they go the wrong way for us, but the right way if you are an Aztec fan.
1555 AD (3)
Since we can only get to the last Aztec city through the Carthagians and they are next on the list, we declare. They have 2 Longbow, 2 muskets, 20 rifles, 10 Cav, 212 Infantry, 19 tanks, 13 MDI and 36 Guerillas. I move up some slaves and rail to the corner of the cities Tingis and Ioi. We then raze them both, getting more slaves. Ther are some extra units to clean up and we pick up more workers. Oh look, we have tanks outside of Malaca, wonder how that happened? The city is razed and we plant one in its place. Rusguniae is next to be captured and then razed once the combet settler is in place. Hispolis is next and a single rifle makes 4 tanks retreat, kills another and then dies. We take out the remianing 3 infantry, MDI and two Longbows to capture the city. We keep this one, but it left us with only on tank to attack anything else on our landmass. The more astute reader will note that I haven't mentioned an artillery this turn. That is because it was saved for Akwesasne. I use every piece we have to hit it and I get it from size 16 down to siaze 8. I do damage to at least 7 units and there is still a 4HP infantry on top. I contemplate attacking anyway but decide to investigate first. The city has 47 stinking units in it, most are Infantry and marines. I think we will pound the city some more and let Carthage move some out and try and pillage (I hope). The city only has a hospital and Aqueduct left. I do wake up some conscripts to go take the 11 workers that Carthage had walking through our lands. They couldn't have gotten home safe and Carthage would have disbanded them, better they work for us. I abandom the forward cities that were used against the Aztec and make sure we have plenty of units in the exposed cities. I then cross my fingers and hit enter.
(I) As expected the Arabs join us in our fun with Carthage. Carthage moves one stack of 98 infantry/Guerillas, one stack of 37 infantry/guerillas/rifles/MDI, one stack of 4 Cav and two stacks of 5 and 4 tanks into our area on their land mass. On our landmass they send 3 Cav and a stack of 9 infantry/guerillas/rifles/MDI out of Jerusalem. One each infantry, rifle and MDI show in old Rome. We lose one tank and one conscript infanty to attacks. A lot better than I expected.
1560 AD (4)
We get another army taking out the Cav stack. The two tanks stacks cost us one tank to take them out. We then take care of all of the units on our landmass but can't go on the offensive over there again. I hit Akwesasne with the atry and we then take it long enough to get the combat settler in place before we abandon it, it only had 5 units in it this turn. We use the remianing arty to kill off stray units and pound a little on the large stack. With Awkesasne gone the two stacks find themselves isolated behind our lines and now the hurt units won't be able to run home. We get 2 more amries will taking out the top units on the big stack. We only lost a couple of units this turn. Carthage is down to 11 rifles, 183 infantry, 9 tanks, 5 MDI and 32 Guerilla.
(I) We lose a couple of tanks to counters but Carthage splits the hurt units off and tries to get them back safely. They do use some healthy units for cover. There are now five stacks left instead of 2.
1565 AD (5)
The artillery is turned full force on the infantry stacks taking 2 of them completely down to 1hp units and then concentrating on the largest SoD left. We then raze Neopolis on our landmass and advance on the two cities left in Rome and Jerusalem. Since most of our elites our healing, I decide to make more by double attacking the 1hp units. We get 10 more elite units by doing this. Carthage now has 7 rifles, 164 Infantry, 14 tanks (I killed 2 strays), 1 MDI and 28 Guerilla. They still have about 800 units in the main SoD but the one square it has pillaged so far has cost it about 20 units. I like those types of exchanges.
(I) We lose 3 tanks to counters. The Carthage ariforce finally shows itself and bombs its former territories. The stacks split again. Arabia now wants coal, oil and Flight for furs, instead he gets coal, oil and horses.
1570 AD (6)
Calaris is razed. We pound and grind on units. I am even using the sapahi to hit 1hp infantry. There is a barb camp to be dispacthed and I send a lowly rifle to do so. While he is there we spot two Carthage infantry with 3 settlers. We awake what units we can and soon have 6 fine new slaves. Carthage is down to 4 rifles, 129 infantry, 12 tanks, 1 MDI and 19 Guerilla. I don't have enough units healed to take out the entire hurt stack. For the first time I send tanks across by air (even though the airport completed some number of turns ago.
(I) Carthage splits the stacks again. No counters from tanks. They are sending a transport and escort down the left side. They must be trying to avenge Malaca.
1575 AD (7)
We raze Ravenna and Jerusalem, move on to the next city. Rome is clear and we can now finish off the area in the northeast. We pound units again and eat up some more infantry and other units. From the Carthage glory SoDs, they are down to one SoD of 23 units. I get three more armies this turn, bringing the otal for my turn to 8 GL. Those double attacks with tanks really pay off. Unfortunately, I would rather attack twice with 3 units (6 attacks) than to attack twice with 1 army. We have 4 unfilled armies sitting in the unspellable city with the airport. Carthage is down to 3 rifles, 90 infantry, 19 tanks, 1 MDI and 8 Guerilla.
(I) Carthage lands a tank and an infantry on our landmass.
1580 AD (8)
We bombard and finish off the last of the massive infantry stacks getting only one more army (the 9th one). We have enough artillery to pound Nora down from size 22 to size 18 and destroy a lot of its buildings. We also advance on a coastal city that is only size 3. It is guarded by only a guerilla. Where did all their infantry go? Carthage is down to 2 rifles, 72 infantry, 24 tanks, and 1 Guerilla.
(I) Some coastal bombing and they use their aircraft, not much else.
1585 AD (9)
Mainly pounding on the cities. Attacks to commence next turn.

1590 AD (10)
The cities are pounded and then Oka is captured long enough to move a settler up. That gives us access to Saberinth. It is heavily defended. Strange for it is only size 9. We pound it and lose three tanks taking it (getting the 10th army). It is razed and the mystery is solved and Magellan's voyage is destroyed. We then pound Nora taking it long enough to bring up another settler. This allows us to take out Tula and the Aztecs are no more. Carthage is down to 61 infantry and 15 tanks. I managed to take out 2 Longbow, 2 muskets, 20 rifles, 10 Cav, 151 Infantry, 4 tanks, 13 MDI and 36 Guerillas, plus all of what they produced in the last 8 turns. Don't forget we have 5-6 empty armies in the airport city and their are 2-3 healing in New Bursa. A combat city is in place to hit Leptis Minor at the start of the next turn and roll from there. There are a bunch of settlers parked in Aydin.
