Take a look at the demographics screen. We're in first place in most categories. We're in 2nd place in land area. That could mean that someone out there has a second city already.
Turn 0 - 1250BC: Nothing to do but press Enter.
Turn 2 - 1200BC: Bronze Working comes in. Metal Casting, for the Forge, would be nice. It needs 36 turns to research. Instead I start on Writing.
The copper is outside of our borders. It looks like we will need 2 border expansions to pick it up.
We've trained a replacement Keshik and I start us on another one. I can speed it up by chopping some of the forests outside of our city radius.
I park our Scout on Caesar's mine, I may not be able to pillage it but I can deny him use of it.
Turn 4 - 1150BC: Our Chariots are now fully healed.
Turn 5 - 1125BC: JC is sending a Settler, escorted by 2 Warriors out of Rome. I doubt that our Keshik will get there before the city is founded.
Turn 6 - 1100BC: Another Keshik is trained. It won't be the last.
Turn 9 - 1025BC: Keshik trained blah blah blah ... And, we pick up our 8th forest inside the city radius. We're looking good on health, now if we could just get some happiness.
And now, I finally get some combat. First up is Capac's Scout. Then, our Chariot takes some damage against Sal's Warrior.
It looks like HC and JC are going after the same piece of land. Little do they know
Turn 10 - 1000BC: Writing comes in and I start us on Mysticism.
Capac adopts slavery. Which, of course, means he has Bronze Working and possibly access to Spearmen.
JC is now short a couple of Warriors. They both inflict a ton of damage on our Keshik and Chariot. The Chariot gets a March promotion, but the Keshik will need to heal.
Turn 12 - 960BC: Keshik trained blah blah blah ...
Turn 13 - 940BC: Keshik trained blah blah blah ...
Rome was built on a hill, combined with 40% cultural defense will make it tough to fall without a Catapult.
Turn 14 - 920BC: Mysticism comes in and I start on Meditation.
Our Keskik attacks and destroys Antium. Meanwhile, a mine is pillaged outside of Rome.
Turn 15 - 900BC: HC loses a rice farm, while JC loses a horse pasture.
Turn 16 - 880BC: Keshik trained blah blah blah ...
A Keshik takes out one of the Quechua's defending Tiwanaku. Bizmark then loses a Scout, while Saladin's Warrior does some slight damage to our Keskik just before dying.
Turn 17 - 860BC: The last Quechua dies as Tiwanaku falls.
Turn 18 - 840BC: Keshik trained blah blah blah ...
Turn 19 - 820BC: Meditation comes in and I start us on Mathematics.
Turn 20 - 800BC: Two of our Keshiks are wounded, one severly, taking Medina. But the city does fall. Meanwhile, HC's gold mine is pillaged. So much for his research efforts.
Well, I didn't take out any civs like Methos. But, I did train us 7 Keshiks. I also managed to raze a couple three minor cities. Here is a map of the known world.
As for research, I was kind of all over the place. I really couldn't decide whether we needed Drama (Globe Theater), Construction (Catapults), or Feudalism (Vassalage) the most. I pretty much decided that the Catapults were going to be needed to take Rome. Although, if we are willing to sacrafice enough Keshik's and/or get some Cover promotions, the cats may not be necessary.
