[MOD] Assimilation

It doesn't work when I play it.

I play BtS, then Load a mod, and then it stops (it's like 'Civilization...has stopped working)
 
I updated Assimilation to 3.19 myself, so I'll post it here if anyone wants it.

Also there's a bug where I captured a roman city and I was allowed to build a forum, but there was already a marketplace, allowing me to have the effects of both. It might have had to do with it being a future start and the marketplace being a free building.
 
Wow this sounds good. Minor Annoyance patch dosen't seem to work for me. Or i'm doing something wrong maybe. I replaced the CvGameCoreDDL folder with the files I downloaded but it dosen't work. :S

...folder? What - exactly - did you do?

If you just want to make the mod playable, you need to replace the .dll-file, not the folder. The contents of the folder are just the source code if you want to compile your own DLL.

Did you ever get this bug fixed? I can confirm that it exists on normal starts as well. If you conquer a city with the standard building, you can build your civ's unique building as well, giving you the positive effects of both. I've seen this with Vikings being able to build the Trading Post in cities with the Lighthouse (making every sea tile a three food tile), and also the Aztecs building Altars in conquered cities with Courthouses. If it's not a bug, it's poor design. :p

Consider it a feature, not a bug :)
 
How hard would it be to incorporate Flexible Difficulty into another mod? Any one have any details they could share with me. I think it would be perfect for me, but I like to play RoM so.

Um, how do you apply this? I just replaced the CvGameCoreDLL folder with the one in your patch. Was that bad? And if it was, what the heck do I do with the .dll file in here? There doesn't appear to be any such file to replace in the mod directory.
 
Would it be possible to make it so that this only happens if there's at least x% of the conquered civ's culture or that the effect will only last for x number of turns?
 
yes, whether I can do it is unknown, it would invlove somesort of cyCity.getculture() this is something which added to a conditional
if iculture > x%:

dunno.. Baldyr? any otherpassing programmer?
 
Is it possible that assimilation be extended not just to UU and UB but also to the other civilization's unit and building art styles?
