[MOD] Composite Mod by Exavier

justwanted to inform you - im currently playing a game with your version 1.4
in multiplayer game

i did so far 900 turns,
i decided to test the building destruction in city screen - crtl+d - and it gave me - desync problem - oocc ..you know... so i say maybe you can remove it for nest version - or maybe even explain to me how can i remove it - perhaps its one of the reasons that the later versions are desync also

Yeah I had the same problem... I'd rather see the problems fixed than taking out good features. There has to be a command to specifically send the updated data to the other client... a forced update of sorts.

I wanted to thank you and the other contributors for this amazing mod. Thanks to you all for the time you have put (and continue!) to put into it. :)

As a suggestion, have you considered making it so the amphibious assault craft can carry gunships, too? That would be great, if you could make it happen.

If not, though, no worries, as I'll still happily keep playing. Thanks again!

Exavier - as a prioritatre plese fix a bug inside a city. A 2 FPS animation while going into city screens. (I think it can be connected with using nukes - I checked in editor).
 
Does anyone happen to know the values needed to win a cultural victory when using this mod? If so, please enlighten me. Thank you in advance!

Three cities at 75k I believe.
 
So far I am really enjoying playing with this mod. I am still toward the end of the renaissance era on my first game with it so I have not tried a lot of the new units. The only major downside so far is the super low FPS city bug. I don't know what causes it... My first cities to get hit by it were coastal ones with lots of food resources and growth. After a while all of my cities suffered from it.

I was wondering if anybody knows how you get to the "exceptional", "hero", and "legendary hero" promotions.

Exavier - I think Harkonenn's patch may be finally compatible with the official 1.52 patch...

that means i'll finally be able to use your composite mod

however I was wondering if it's possible to use your mod in conjunction with TheLopez' mods (specifically the great specialists mod and the military bases mod)

I think his mods would be a great addition to your composite mod (especially us military 'enthusiasts' for CIV4 -- I think CIV4 lacks a good military aspect that yours and TheLopez' mods do it better justice...but I digress)

If it is possible, can you instruct me how to do it?

I like the ideas in your mod (NO GLOBAL WARMING comes to mind:mischief: )

but I like thelopez's military and great specialtist aspects...

can you please advise?

I was finally able to use this mod and it is great... :)

however when I try to play this game in MP (LAN) with my brother

we get an Out of Sync (OOS) error within the first 30 turns

When we played without your composite mod, there were no OOS errors

We are patched to the latest 1.52

and use your latest 1.7 MOD

dont know if anyone else is experiencing this...

(though I would like anymore playing MP post if they are able to play it or not)

anyone has any ideas on how to fix this...? :confused:


NOTE: It's a still a great mod that I still use in single player games :goodjob:

but I wish I can get it working in MP


other than the MP problem... I love it... :D

It's a common occurance.. If you go back to 1.4 of his releases you should be able to fix your OOS problem.

I don't think you're going to get much help from Exavier... He seems to have abandon his mod :cry:

I cant find 1.4 release on this thread though :sad:

I *ahem* am testing a different mod though (wont mention the name because this is not the right post/thread for it) not as advanced as the composite mod... but is still in development and has potential.... and dont get any OOS problems... :mischief:

I am still keeping the faith and will use the Composite mod for single player usage... :D

I see... Well I have it on my comp. I can email it to you if you want to PM me your email address. I'm really not sure what the difference is between the 1.3 and 1.4 release though. I'm sure the v1.3 would be MP compatible as well.

Has anyone tried this mod with the new 1.61 patch? I have not updated, as I don’t want to lose the ability to play the mod.

I tried it, but it didn't work too well. Everything was all out of proportion. Boxes weren't where they were suppose to be and they were too small, and all of the text from the main menu wouldn't show up. I can't tell you how the actual gameplay was because, well, I couldn't get past the menu screen.

Hello everyone!

I am still running 1.52, and my game is locking up after I press the end turn button during the year 1840. The weird thing is that the game only locks up if I am in war; if I am at peace, the game progresses normally…

Has anyone run into this problem?

I believe there is an e-mail address to send these types of issues to, so hopefully I can track that down...
