[MOD] Composite Mod by Exavier

@purger30 - Mods that use that file that i know off the top of my head... Great General/Soldier, Culture Modifications, Building Destruction Mod... I think the Building Destruction mod causes most of the interface lag because it looks for whats in the city each time you open it.

Hi Exavier, I'm trying to add to my mod tactical icbms that can be loaded on nuclerar subs. My question is: do I have to tinker with python files too, or are all the changes I need located in the usual xml files ?

Was just playing a MP game with my flatmate and unfortunately had nothing but bad luck with your v1.7.

As soon as a war started there was nothing but OOS errors every single turn.. I was using 1.4 when playing MP in my previous games, and I've had no problems what-so-ever.

Just a guess... but Perhaps it has something to do with the random values being generated during combat? (slaves, allegiances, etc.) Both parties generating different random values would through the game off.

Any ideas? Has anyone else had this problem?

EDIT: On second thought, it might have been v1.5 or v1.3 I was using before.... I don't even see a v1.4 up there. Oh, and before anyone asks... I have updated the game to 1.52.

i had the same problem - i think version 1.4 is the best suited to mp games - i treid the both 1.5 1.6 - and it gave me all the time - desync problems - i patched this mod a little - at first i thout it was my conversion but - i went back to 1.4 and everything was perfect

Yeah.. That's what we ended up doing. Quite unfortunate though. I really wanted to play with the updated combat system :sad:

See the bottom right corner. The score display shows through the city screen. I can't see any details on my Great People points, it's also nearly impossible to manually set which specialist you want. I also can't see any details about luxuries and food resources in the top right.

This didn't happen at first, but reloading the game doesn't seem to help it.

It also really lags when opening and closing the city screen.

Any ideas?

HI I just wanna say I love this mod.
The units look great scaled down.
The unit allegience is great.
Whoever did that vulture unit for sumeria; great job.
Its real fun to be playing in the classical era and have epic struggles with developed empires.
Im still in the classical era, but I can't wait to play biplanes, zepelins, and cargo planes.
Good choice of naval units.
Thanks for giving aggressive leaders free promo for more unit types.
 
Exavier whats up with an update buddy? This is still one of my favorite mods to date....
 
Sorry for the absence guys... Just got my laptop back from the shop... Thats the good news.

The bad news is after 3 weeks of not doing anything with Civ4, Working 11hrs a day (after drive time), online programming classes (I am making a PC game), and the fact that my friends MMOG just went into Alpha testing (and i am at the top of the list) I am sad to say but Civ4 is kinda getting the short end of the stick.

I will however work on getting at least 1 more update for my mod to fix a few bugs and finish adding in some things I have been meaning too. But after that I don't know if I will be working on this project anymore... 2 much to do and 2 little time.

Goals for next update (At least)
-Bug with the score display
-Bugs with the city display (Not showing resorces)
-Removing Culture Modifications
-Looking closer for the causes of MP OOS
-Finish tech tree graphics
-Add a few more Civilizations
-And maybe a few more things I am 2 brain dead to think of atm.

If I am missing anything please let me know. Or as allways I will take suggestions.



@[to_xp]Gekko - The Nuclear Sub and Tactical ICBMs are just XML files... You will need the info out of UnitInfos.xml, UnitClasses.xml to make them work properly.
 
Making a PC game eh? I'll keep an eye out for it.
 
Exavier - can you add SUPER ICBM which could have blast aera of 3 or 4 squares?

Also - plese make more powerful ICBM and Tactical one. When atacking sotck of units it should kill at least from 50%-70% of units.

And - can you do something that we could use Nukes in our borders?

Also - after hundreds of turns in city info screens I have 4 FPS. In no mod Civ4 everything was fine so I think this error is connected with the city display (Not showing resorces).

And please. Your mod is one of the best. Can you give your copyrights to someone else who could continue your work?
 
@Orion66 - Um nukes already do that much damage to units as long as the enemy doesn't have a bomb shelter in city :p

Also the reason there is no larger ICBM is because of the targetting limitations which are hard coded (Can't fire if blast radius will effect yours or non-enemies units/territory). Wish I could.

I am going to look into the Citys screen stuff for the update (Hoping I can get one finished and tested in a cpl weeks but Like I said I have a very hecktic schedual with other things atm).

As for Copyrights... HAH!. thats funny. If I worried about that then I could probobly get sued by all the ppl who I have more or less stolen work from lol... Truthfully If someone wants to continue the project after my next release I am more than willing to send them my working files (basicly every version of the mod so they can look back on old changes if needed).

Exavier - Your mod is THE BEST. But I thinks this Mylon Culture mod is.... well it is not good. Can you remove this?

And please - when will you launch new update ?
