Both. And also for when the king loans you a boat. I get the text with symbols like '%' etc.

Indeed, I get the same:

"you will find a galleon in %s1 ready to sail.

Our finances impose us to require you to do share it cost ... The
modest sum of d1% [gold picture] will be paid on your assets"

I also get on the "improvement of the farm" pop-up:
"the improvement will cost you d1% [gold picture]"

And the "end of agreement" popup:
"The deadline, for the contract on the barter
Cacao/Tools between the %s1 village and your
colony New Amsterdam has expired."


Already played 316 turns (25 hours) so far in my game and looking forward to more.

The game is crashing the very next turn I land in a New World... Anybody has the same issue?

Someone posted a message on Civfr.com saying the exact same thing as you Tigranes (but in French :lol:).
What OS have you got? Is there any message?
If M07 doesn't reply soon enough, I'll send him a message on Civfr... He'll know what to do :goodjob:

Windows Vista... One time I was able to "cheat" the crash with the help of Worldbuilder, but than I could not found a colony!

Run game in Administrator mode or run xp compability.

32 or 64 version?

32... All the other mods work just fine under Vista, so it is a bit strange we need XP compatibility :) for a game released in 2009... But I will give it a try. I always run everything as administrator (I am the only User)...

I can say, in my system, it's working without problems. XP.

There have been other cases in which this mod was not working in Vista due to that.

PD: As a note, I'm translating the French texts but I'm not French. Anyway, I'm trying to say is that it seems the translations are really necessary... it's the first time I have seen a h in bonjour ;)

Hi everybody, I am just writing to tell you some news. I am currently busy with my work in the university. Between projects and exams, I can't work efficiently on DoaNE.

In December, I improved my source code. It's more optimize and as I followed some C++ lessons at my university I delete some ugly codes I wrote :mischief:.

May be, I solved the compatibility errors you found (I hope :p).

Moreover I began to add agreements with Europe. You will see some merchant ships (with may be some escorts) that will come, in your colonies, to process the current agreement.

Even if I try to do my best, I know my translations are quite bad. That's why I thank Isabelxxx for the help that she or he gives me ;).

Dazio is alright! Just in stand by :).
I don't know where are my mistakes, but I always considered that I wasted my time to write texts and to translate them even if it is really important for the game.
I prefer the programming :p.

Hi! I continue working in the translation but considering how boring it is... so I have been implementing the naval system I already suggested.

So far I have been working on 1st & 2nd era. Many of the units are already working in game. Created Unique units so every nation should have mostly different ships and a few generic (note that Italy and Spain shares many units for obvious reasons...)

Revamped the goodies with +25 new events added. (let me put some order in my files and I will upload the text file and the goody_info file required to see only those changes) (some of the new texts are not in French yet, only English)

And added a few buildings like special docks for large cities in 2nd era which allows to build new units.

I plan to add the same system to land units.

@M07: Please, don't forget to add the tag "Can Sail to Europe" 1(yes)/0(no) I already told you so coastal trade and warfare could be a possibility.

Also, ¿what about some Unique buildings or variants for those already present?
I have already planned some possible variations for every nation which would be the next upgrade to the last level of that building, only available for that nation: Church of Santo Domingo (Spain), Governor's council (England), ...

Also some special buildings could only be made once, in other words, only in 1 city at the same time. for ex: a special shipyard or a War college per nation. (there is no way to put this limit in XML, DLL changes required)

Finally, these special buildings could be added as variants or also like wonders, so some unique buildings would work as the generic Spanish buildings and others as the special "Wonder". The second type would only be built in one city.

They could eventually be used in Religion and Revolution as well. :)

I happy to see that you are still work on Colonization.
I use a software called Asana, it allow me to manage tasks that I have to do. I already add your task :). If you want to see my progress or add some tasks, send me you email by MP, and I will add you as Official Member in Asana! So great :D!

Those new ships will increase the game interest. It is a nice job but it is not over ;).

¿what about some Unique buildings or variants for those already present?
I think it is really a good idea and I don't think it will be hard to implement. So why not! :D
