[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

After returning to Civ after a couple of years hiatus, I was rather dissapointed in the official addons. But this mod quickly changed that :goodjob:
 
No, that's not it. My troops can see invisible and last time I had two troops in same city, one cast normally the other got moved.

Unfortunately, invisibility is now a little buggy and units that see invisibility don't always see invisible units. For instance, invisibility caused by the Counsil of Esus shrine Nox Noctis can't be seen by anything.

I have Civ 4 Warlords. I downloaded Fall from Heaven II 0.23c and installed, but I don't see it under "Mods". Am I doing something wrong or is it because I have Warlords? I played the original FfH, but lost my Civ 4 DVD. I just bought Civ Gold Edition, just to play FfH 2. Help!!!
 
Patch "y" is linked in the first post. It won't break save games and fixes the following issues:

1. The Iron Orb event no longer occurs to the first player to qualify (its random like most other events).
2. Fixed an animation issue with the Khazad/Luchuirp hunter.
3. Lord of the Balors- Added rivers to the map.
4. Mulcarn Reborn- fixed an issue that would cause Volanna to spawn on the ocean.
5. Fixed an issue with the blood effect on gorilla's.
6. Cities reduce spell damage by a quarter of their city defense to units in them (so pyre zomebies, tsunamis, ring of flames, pillar or flames, etc isnt as effective against units in well fortified cities).
7. Tsunami's average damage reduced from 50% to 30%.
8. Worldbreak and the city fire event cannot destroy Demonic Citizens anymore.
9. Demonic Citizens won't be granted when the infernal gift cities anymore.
10. Mercurians no longer get angels when animals die.
11. Pillaging will remove promotions that are removed by combat (such as invisibility).

Some Mercurian/Fellowship of the Leaves players were having a little to much fun summoning tigers and then killing them for the free angel.
 
playing multiplayer 2 players 6 AI large map, the game is bulletproof "no crashes" until around turns 250 plus then it is plagued by crashes every hour or two. Any suggestions?

When you say crashes, do you mean OOS (out of sync) errors or actual drops to the desktop?

Also you posted this same thing in the Fall Further thread, did you have this problem with Fall Further or Fall from Heaven?
 
Hey Just wanted to say that when my power supply blew on my old p.c. I purchased a new one just to play this game. Keep up the excellent work, and Sid you should put this on store shelves.
 
This mod is incredible - the standard to which these mods should be held, in my opinion. Excellent storyline, deep and varied gameplay, a huge amount of custom eye-candy, custom scenarios... The list goes on and on.

Keep up the fantastic work, Kael and company! You've taken an already great game and made something simply amazing.

We have this issue with both games Fall Futther or FFH II. It crashes to desktop once the games get 250 ish turns into the game. The out of sync is rare and is an easy fix to get back into the game. The crashes to desk top are very annoying since both computers end up crashing to desktop. First 150 turns or so no issues at all. After that being said. I am taking Fall further at it's word that it does not directly effect any FFH II files so when we play FFH II it is patched up to date.
We have always been able to continue afer a reload. I'm leaning toward Vista and memory issues. Once it happend instantly after clicking on an advisor I was looking at the desktop. I am running 2 8800 GTX's SLI 1Meg and 2 Meg system memory. If I drop in another 2G of system Vista will only use less then a Meg of that since it counts Video Memory as total memory. Guess memory is cheap these days if that ends up being the issue. If there is know issue is all I am asking since I would not expect you to solve any operating system or hardware issues will all the possible available combinations, much less drivers and routers.
Oh btw you could grab the code on fall further that lets the traits on adaptive have a tool tip when you move the curser over that choice. I noticed both games have that screen but they have the tool tip. Since they used your code for the basis of their mod I'm sure they would be happy to. Although I'm sure its not as easy as all that. Once again I can not fathom the amount of work you and your team put into this mod. I have been following it off and on for I can't rememer how long. I bet the man hours into this are astounding. Great job.

This mod would qualify as a new fantasy version of CIV. Now this is vinilla and other mods are flavor :) If this was sold as Fantasy CIV V. it would be viable. Definatlys sets a standard, if not for mods then for games. I'm not sure I said this correctly hope you get how it is meant.
 
On another note just patched to Y and all the goodie huts are now giving only maps. Nevermind started a new game and it is fine now. Guess the odds of 12 goodie huts in a row giving maps exists but it seemed odd. Fortunatly my friend got wiped by barbs and on a restart everything was fine.
