[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

is there a map rich in resources such as mana, i play as the Sheaims all the time and would really really really like a lot of mana nodes.

yes i like to play as the all magical powerful sorcerer from hell nobody dares mess with. haha, and i play on chieftan difficulty, lol. just tried warlord difficulty and couldnt pull it off, then again im new to ffh and civ period so its acceptable (for now neways)

any help in directing me to those rich mana maps would be appreciated, again i apologize if this is a stupid question and wrong thread.

there is a program called smartmap that will allow you to set the resources to a VERY high level all over the map ... with suficient experimentation you should be able to find the balance that you like. Just remember that if you have a lot of resources... so does everyone else.

Yes, I have everything, but I get always the same routine error at the starting of FFH2 mod, no problem with others.

1. Make sure oyu are using your Civ4 CD, not a warlords cd.
2. rename your CustomAssets directory to CustomAssets.old.

If neither of those fixes the problem post a screenshot fo the first error you get when the mod loads and I will check it out.

They will definitly all need the same FfH version. There shouldnt be much mroe beyond that, I know a lot of people play FfH multiplayer.

This looks like a very promising mod. I downloaded and installed it, and that went very well.

When I start a game, though, all I can see are the map and units. There's no task bar or anything else on the screen, so I can't see any information about my units, etc.

Moreover, if I hit ESC while in the game, I can't bring up the options menu -- I click the button, but the options dialog doesn't appear. Similarly, if I try to load the options menu from the main menu while the mod is loaded, nothing happens.

Everything works fine when the mod is not loaded.

Please help!

Do you have errors messages at the startup ?


You must do :
1. Donwload cIV 1.61 patch
2. rename your CustomAssets directory to CustomAssets.old.

I have no error messages at startup, and patch 1.61 is running.

I don't have a CustomAssets directory at all.

You have to have a CustomAssets. If you dont have one the game creates one when it starts. Its proably in: ..\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\CustomAssets

Really daft question is your Civ4 in the default directory and are you using a PC as opposed to Mac?

Todate I've yet to have a problem with a ffh install. So I'd look at your default locations

I'm running Windows Vista RC1 64-bit, and the relevant directories are as follows.
