[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

The ability can be added back if you are willing to un-comment-out 1 line in the DLL source files and recompile.

There were numerous other issues with gifting units as well. The free promotion thing was just one of the more well-known abuses, and was something which you cannot simply decide not to do (another of the many exploits was to gift an HN animal unit to someone, capture it with subdue animals, gift it back, capture it....)

That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.

I noticed that Auric Ulvin (un-ascended) is a unit in the World Editor, and does not have a pedia entry. Is it possible to build him without the editor or is this a characteristic not yet added to the game?

The mortal Auric plays a part in the Scenarios of Ice, but I'm not sure it will ever appear in a random map game without cheating.

An annoying little thing...

Running this on the family computer (using XP), and I downloaded it, at great expense of my time.

Now... I can't open it. It is an .exe file, yes? So if that is the case, why can't I run it, and why is it saying "Open With:
Please Choose a program to open this file"

Help?? This didn't happen last time...

If it helps, the file is 398,382 KB...

[Edit]Renaming the file, and appending .exe to the end fixes that... but why wasn't .exe added to the end in the first place??[/Edit]

For some reason one of the download sites removes the .exe off of the file. I dont know why.

Article mentioning FfH (2). Dunno if anyone has mentioned it yet, I didn't notice it until today. (I only read that article to see if it included FfH :D)

Very cool, thanks Snarko.

Something I noticed digging around in the editor.

The Amurites are given a 10 favour towards FoL. I thought that with the research bonus given by Empy and the Veil, that they would be more likely to go that way. When I play as them, which is most of the the time, that's the way I go.

By the way, I love the new look of 0.34! Pimp tha mods, Gods!

It's mostly for alignment's sake. Amurites are a pretty neutral civ, so they were the best candidate to like FoL after the elves. Although the elves like it so much, there probably doesn't need to be a second place.

Does this Apply to the Svartalfar as well? I really do believe that they should have equal odds for applying Council of Esus as this too is very "dark elf" flavored...

Any hint on when we'll see the Scenarios of Ice?

First sry for double posting, second...

The scenario FFH Age of Ice was released with BTS so you should have that one all ready (not sure if this one has the Auric Ulvin unit in it though as I never really liked playing it very much...) , but other than that the scenarios won't be untill Kael and team feel ready to release 0.40 which is probably a long time into the future...

Hi

First off fantastic mod, for me the best CIV game I have played.

Just wondering (maybe a dumb question) do you have to be evil to cast lichdom? I thought I would have a challenge and play the Kuriotates as just 5 major cities goes against my normal playing style. I had checked and no where does it say you can not cast lichdom if you are either a Kuriotates or good but after investing in multiple death nodes and creating 3 specialised death magic users I got them to Archmage and then none can cast lichdom.

Am I missing something or is this a problem?

Thanks Rob (Magecraft).

I don't mind them having a preference for FoL, but I really think they should favor the religions introduced in Shadow. Neither religion would chance their alignment, but the religions would synergize with the Amurites well and would show some distinctions between the personalities of the two leaders.

Dain is philosophical in nature and so would fit very well in the Empyrean. Plus, the research bonus seems appropriate.

Valledia the Even is extremely subtle, utilitarian, and ruthless in her machinations, so the Council of Esus seems an obvious choice for her. Plus, CoE Chanters that can use HN to attack neighbors and Escape to get away before they can fight back are quite nice.

I have noticed, that I can not build Altar of the Luonnotar using a Luonnotar, as it as possible before. Is this a bug or a balancing feature? It is otherwise quite hard for Grigori to achieve this kind of victory, because of lack of priest GP points.

hey umm i love this mod so much i have spent like 2000000 hours playing but i cant figure out what the scenario screen is for please help/respond soon!
