Are catpracht UU? I think all civs can get this unit. Also culture is still produced from obelisks even after i had calander. So these might be some more possible bugs for you to work on.

My previous saved game is not working with the new patch., won't load it.

Unfortunately you will have to roll back to the previous version if you want to continue it, otherwise, start a new one. Myself, I am gonna finish the one I have been playing for 2 weeks now(I am in the 1300's) This game is more than a marathon, but damn it is fun and I am enjoying it. Hope the barbarians were not made pushovers, they were challenging in the version I was playing but still managed to conquer many of them...must have sent hundreds of warriors to their deaths but it was well worth it :crazyeye:

Keep up the good work mang!:thanx:

After the new patch i also couldn't load a previous game. I noticed the class Immortal was removed from the Classinfo-xml. I put it back (with archer as default unit to keep the immortal unique) then i could load the game. In the city-building i found 2 archers to build but i don;t think this is a problem.

btw. great mod!

Onyx,

The immortal class shouldn't exist. You have rolled back a bug. hehe ;) But I understand if you wish to make it backward compatible with your savegames.
If I were you I would start a new game sinc the next major update will take a while any way. At least 2 weeks from now if everything works perfect.

@Zagaz I have no further information about how the Barbarians behave in the new version. Hoever I have updated their AI and their city'AI as well.

@Paulk Cataphtracts are not UU. Everyone can build them. I will check the Obelisks. Thanks

The mod has been released as sourceForge project all around the world. Check the first page for a download link.

Through the sourceforge project many developers can work on this project. Contact us if you are interested.

Maybe some in Iraq & Iran should be reminded of Timur Lang an that the Americans aren't so bad. I hope your country will be free. I enjoy your work very much.

@All

Good news is that Israel has set up the Sourceforge project and I have successfully updated the old version 0.72.01 to 0.72.08. It looks very promising.

@Houman

I'll release the older versions on SourceForge shortly so that everyone can roll-back to any published release. From now on we will leave most releases up, at least until they're very very old before taking them off of the sourceforge download page.

I suppose Sevo's civs just come in with his big Sevomod...

There are now 13 total new civs in this mod, and 16 new leaderheads. These civs origininated in SuperCiv, but I've refinished them all extensively. All of these civs now have completed 'pedia entries, reworked UU's with pedia data, leaderheads with full 'pedia data and historical first contact quotations, correctly functioning flags and emblems, and ALL 16 LEADERHEADS have custom soundtracks! I'm really happy with the way the new civs have polished up and I think they're now (finally) a nice addition to this mod.

By the way, cool picture on the first post. Forgive my ignorance, but what is it supposed to be?

And Taoism, well, I'd propose a health bonus, not of any particular resource, but just in general; I'm thinking inner alchemy, Tai Chi, and that sort of thing. To give them something to balance that, perhaps give them -1 happiness (cancel out effect, not actually negative you know) for gems, gold, and/or diamonds; I'm speaking to the Laozi here, keep the people's minds simple and free from desires and they shall be content. What do you think?

As for Hinduism, is their a way to perhaps modify the caste system civic so that it would give a bonus to a Hindu player?

I was also going to ask, does anyone thinks that maybe there's too many things adding to GPP? With Pacifism, Philosophical trait, and now looking at Universal Sufferage bonuses to GPP, maybe those bonuses are adding up to be too much? Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of great people, but...

Perfect Blue seems to have hit upon the solution to Taoism. A health bonus seems so obvious now.

Has anyone else tried playing as greek?

It is a really stupid civ to play as, as the only technology that can be of any use is of no use because no matter what you do that stupid little barbarian ship is going to come along and kill your fishing ships.

So i think that maybe you should either remove that barbarian ship or give greek something to defend they're boats with. Otherwise the player has to sit there for 50+turns researching before they can start harvesting any resource's.

..or you could just leave it as a extremely difficult team to play, thats up to you. I just thought i should let you know about it.

Dear Rock,

We had lots of dark times in our history that we have been invaded, killed, raped and occupied. Alexander the "Great", Muslim Arabs, Genghis Khan and Timur Lang are the most famous.

And between "Americans aren't so bad" and "they are good" is a big difference. ;) Is it the choice between bad and worse? You seem to know the history of Iran. May you please tell me about the American Coup 1953 in Iran to remove the democracy and replace it by the old monarchy, because Shah was more in American interest? http://www.nytimes.com/library/world/mideast/041600iran-cia-index.html

History is like a mirror of what has happened and what is going to happen. Don’t get me wrong, I belong to those 6 millions Iranians who had to flee from the Islamic Republic of Iran that came to power after the revolution in 1979; however the history has even showed us that it would be naive to trust Americans, who always strive for their own interest in first place. I only hope that my countrymen would have the strength to get of rid of the Mullahs by their own as soon as possible.

I may have missed a comment on this in this thread. It is 23 pages so far. :)

Anywho, after entering the worldbuilder and attempting to tweak a few things (e.g. the greek fishing boat issue), I receive an error. Actually it's several of the same error. It happens at the end of every turn after exiting WB.

From memory it's something like this:

in CvEventInterface
in CVEventManager
in CVCustomEventManager in onCityDoTurn
CvAdvisorUtils not defined.

the error is at CvAdvisorUtils.onCityDoTurn(pCity... something)

(I'll put exact error up later today)

Has anyone run into this?

I will check it out, thanks.

By the way, cool picture on the first post. Forgive my ignorance, but what is it supposed to be?

It is a screenshot from "Persepolis recreated"
http://www.sunrisefilmco.com/p33priu.htm
movie: http://www.sunrisefilmco.com/images/Hig/demo1.mpg

It is an project to show how Persepolis looked like, before Alexander set it on fire. It is very moving. In the picture you can see an immortal in the stone that is being revived into flesh with light rays around him.

I try to symbolize the Third resurrection of our Mod with this picture. :)

I like your idea. I will include it in next version. I suppose I cancel the whole War wearingness then, right?

As for Hinduism, is their a way to perhaps modify the caste system civic so that it would give a bonus to a Hindu player?

I will change some more things in the next version. I was thinking of giving Judaism +1 Commerce, however the spreadrate shall go down from 120% to 90%. Over time Judaism will be pushed back and become a national religion like in real.

Also Hinduism's spread rate shall be lowered to become the same. But what kind of bonuses shall I give them? Maybe production and war weariness?

Avian, I didn't know there is a barbarian ship placed...I will remove it from the map. It could be that they are being built by close barbarians in their harbor. In that case I remove their harbor.

I have purposely put more resources for Greeks, Romans and Japan to make them stronger and eaier to grow. Otherwise they always get pushed back by everyone. Thanks for submitting these problems that will help balancing out the game. It will be fixed in the next version.

Houman- I already have tweaked the map a little and will take care of any changes so you don't have too. That is if you want me to. As for the Barbarian Ship well I have been playing as the Romans and also have fishing to start but since I knew of it I just didn't make any fishing boats until I had galleys. What I did was beeline for Iron and now rule most to Eurasia and Africa. Praetorians RULE. So I don't think its game breaking though I do admit that when I first saw that Galley in the first few turns I was like Whoa that's a little nasty. It makes it Harder but you learn to deal with it. If you think it's best I can remove it but that will mean playing as Roman will be easier.

For everyone playing this map if you are in Europe you HAVE to play aggressively and take out at least a couple of neighbors early ie with axeman or if Roman then with Praetorians though I wish the AI would play just as aggressive especially Greece and Rome(when not played be me.)

Hmm. I am trying play with 0.7208 version but always CTD when i point with the mouse the score of my civ. Curiously my score is 10.000 in first turn without fund cities.

I have try it with Americans and Incas.

¿Any idea?

PD: Sorry for my english.

I would. I don't see any reason, historically, why Taoism should induce war weariness.

@Nightraven

Would be great if you could take care of it. :) The greeks have a bad spot. I don't want them to be pused too much. They have the great Phalanx and should use it. See if you could do anything to make it a bit easier for them. Maybe a perl close to there starting point?

Could you also take care of the Blues problem? He can see as Mongolian the Indian capital. The area is exposed. I have no idea though how you could fix that, since you have to play as Egyption if you are going to edit the map...maybe we have to dig into the Map file's XML. :(

@zhardan
According to your ? I suppose are having the Spanish version. It might be that the Spanish version (translation for that part) is brocken. Could you try to play the Game in English and test it again? There will be some cleaning up with the Python code in the next version. Many Mods get updated and re-implemented to make sure everything is alright. wow almost all th etraces of my foerunners are vanishing. :( But it is important, since if the day of the new Patch come, we have to redo everything again anyway. In short, in next version, your problem might get solved. ;)

@Perfect Blue
Sounds good.

@All, it is going great. Many mods have been updated. I am eagerly waiting for Naf4all's Strategical Mod, he has redone the TechTrade in a unusual but realistic way. I won't spoil it until he goes public. ;)
