It i sture. Razing cities cost now money and is only available thorugh the demo troop. Thats why you have to disable the normal razing option within the map. ;)

This is a temporary solution. 12Monkey is working on a solution where you have to wait longer for razing a city, like pillaging a cottage. That would be the perfect solution...

We have midified tons of stuff. You better give it a shot. In my game I still had uprising problems with cities Size 7 despite all the bonuses. The reason is that most bonuses only give a health but not happiness.

Regarding expansionst trait, this will be changed in the future to 1 happiness, as soon as we figure out how in Python. Right now the Expansionist is a bit weak. Nevertheless is it very nice having the Granary built for halftime.

The Clock kind of messed up the PlotList 2.0 Mod. I gave up. hehe I know its possible though and it will be back in next release.
 
Oh please hurry and update it for the new patch. I just installed your mod when the patch came out, and now I'm going mad waiting to try all the even newer features in 1.0!

I would heartily recommend doing as Nightravn earlier suggested, and install a secondary CivIV installation at verion 1.52 to play this mod. I have no idea how long it will take to upgrade the mod to work, and we were so busy with TotalRealism-1.0 that we haven't even gotten to the analysis.

Some questions

Why should razing a city cost money? Is this to reflect that when you sack it some of its wealth is taken by your soldiers? Is it a balance issue?

If we are going to have to wait a few turns to properly raze a city, can it not be above two. I raze so they cannot be taken back.

Come to think of it, since turns are years long why are we implementing non-instantaneous razing? Razing can take a bit of work, but shouldnt be longer than the time in a single turn. It doesnt take years to put everyone to the sword and set every building on fire.

@modders, that opening music is great. Now i dont hit mute when the game starts!
 
Hey guys, I've download and tried to get this Realism mod to run several times and I get the following message: "Could not load CvEventInterface" or something like that. It would still go to run the game but when I go to play, the entire interface panels are all gone.
Anyone else having this? I am running with Patch 1.52

Anyone having problems running mods with the new patch 1.61?

NO fonts are showing up.

It is only a balancing issue until we have our real solution ready. It cannot be that you can raze a 20 population city within one turn and you need several turns to raze a cottage/village. Thats why it will e slowed down. At this time it just costs you money and hurts doing it too eagerly. :)

Problem must be on your site. Uninstall the game, and reinstall everything. ;)

The patch was released on Friday and you expect on Monday a patch for 1.61? :lol:

It's from the Plotlist Button Enhancement mod and you can find info in it's readme in the Documentation\Inclusions folder.

Anyway, my game: Playing as Saladin of Arabia on Noble Difficulty:

Zorostrianism was founded by Egypt very soon, they obviously researched Mysticism first, and Dualism afterwards.

They also built a 2nd city in Israel/Jordania and cut me off of horses. :(
Considering the desert to the east I'm nearly forced to strike back with my Archers soon.
The barbarians to the north are not yet a problem, but sure as hell going to be. But from my gaming experience the Camel Archers should defeat them very fast. But for them I need horses, damnit.

I love it..... go get them horses if you want them.:) The Barbs and the AI are pretty ruthless in this MOD so you had better watch your back. In my game they have taken out the Germans and the Chinese. I am the English and I am about to give the French a world of pain.:evil: :borg: :king:

I forgot to make the change of NO_CITY_RAZING to the map yesterday but will do so tonight so everyone playing now be on you scouts honor and don't raze any cities without Demolition troops.
 
Anyone having a problem with this mod about mid game. I am getting a nasty error just about mid game where it will CTD. I sometimes can reload a previous autosave from about 30 turns prior, but the error hits again usually about 30 turns later. I have been checking the tech support forum, but i never had this problem with vanilla CIV4 just this wonderful mod. The problem happens always during a turn transition, and then again while loading the savegame. It gives some error of cvgamecoredll.dll. Either way, just wondering if anyone else is having this problem? If not, i will continue to troubleshoot this problem. I still would like to play with the nuclear submarines. (oh yeah, btw. I did do a complete reinstall of the game and OS just to be sure and started a new game and got the same error.)
 
Played a couple of games and for some reason religions are being founded later. The AI isnt concentrating on them as much which means there isnt much competition for Zoroastrianism.

Had one game with two continents. As egypt i got those horses and war chariots out early. Killed all civs on my continent but the barbarians just kept coming like vengeful revenants. The civs were dead but the barbs were worse.

Latest game was great fun. Conquest victory with Egypt 1620 BC, Noble difficulty, small map, balanced, 11 enemies :lol: cause i like a good slaughter, score 133 254. Units just got the last city (1 gold left) as my chariot armies were just about to strike. How's everyone else doing?

@Houman, you didnt like some elements of the bad people mod, but what about just adding the mob until the rest is cleaned up? That mafia reskin was great.
