[mod] TOTAL REALISM 2.0

I've tried running this mod, but whenever I click on the icon it says, "Civilization 4 not found, unable to get install path." What does that mean? I'm running it on Vista, so I don't have the documents and settings or the cache folders. This is not a pirated game. I bought it about a month ago. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it. It's awful hearing how great it is but not being able to play it.
 
Uninstall and reinstall do you have warlords?do you have winwar?

I've tried reinstalling, but it's the same thing, and yes, I have Warlords. It seems like the setup program is looking for the Civ4 file in a specific location, but it's not where it's looking, so I says that it can't find it. I'm running Vista too, but I don't know if that is affecting it or not. Is there a way to run the setup, but browse for the file location?

are you running administrator with CFF explorer.
dude got to go i have to keep playing TR 2.3 this is awsome Mod oyu must play it!
 
I got a CTD (and a request from Microsoft to send error report) when I was completing Lindberg's trans-Atlantic flight. I checked the XML file but couldn't see what was wrong. The work-around is just don't build this wonder. But it should be fixed or removed.

I'm getting some irritating crashes that are starting to make the game unplayable. Ain't a MAF thing. It'll happen when I'm taking a city or building distillery. I suspect its resource based for all of them. Got 3 coppers with 3 bronze smiths already, take a city that has the 4th one and BOOM, insta-crash. (at least that seems the most likely explanation for why I can't conquer Rome at the moment without a crash.)

Its seriously gotten to the point where you guys might want to consider chucking the whole '1 building per resource' concept if you can't find a fix. Its simply not working. And even when it doesn't crash, it adds HUGE pauses sometimes when you're taking a city, exploring new territory, or even building a road. (at which point it'll cut back to a city saying 'you can no longer build such and such) As of right now, the game isn't really playable with these issues.

IMHO, your being to drastic here in your comments.

We all now know about the resources linked to new buildings bug - and I agree late game it is very irritatting, to have to constantly re-start rebuilding these units/buildings etc.

Also - unless you have a very poor computer - it is not a crash, just an annoying constant re-asigning in the build menu every other turn or so.

Depending as youy say on events.

But give the team time to fix it - what IMO is a great new feature to this mod.

After all I am sure they only released the latest version - after months of badgering by players who were to impatient to wait for a good release. ( Me included)

LOL I was a costant pain in the ass emailing the Tr team for a fast release.
 
Hi Tr team i have a request can you guys please fix the tobacco and alchol Please remove the One unhealthy no One wants to trade can you Please add 1 Or 2 Commerce for better trade?
The Reason i am asking is I am aware that you guys are going to do one last fix and that is It!!the end of Tr Warlords Please I am begging fix the trade Problems with these 2 items Please remove the unhealthy and replace it with More Commerce maybe 2 Gold for brandy,1 Gold for vodka,and 3 Gold and happiness for Tobacco and maybe through in manufacturing ciggerrets i know these items are bad for your health but they also generate billions of dollars world wide so this is TR so let focus on that aspect instead of the health problems People Know the hazards and risk with drinking and smokeing but they do it any way!
Please,Please fix this for better trade options!

P.S I upgraded my CPU from quad 6600 to Dual Core Wofendale E8400 3.00Ghz I Overclocked to 4.2 GHz i can see faster and better results in game turns I am Playing with 24Civs Huge Maps 4 Contents every Country is medium Or Huge in Size i can see hundreds of troop movements specialy hitlers SS troops in europe and My turns have slowed down a bit but are a lot faster than using my old Q6600 I am thinking of Over Clocking my e8400 to 5.5GHZ i will buy a water cooling system and let you guys know if there are big gains in my turns.
 
Hello guys I am new on this forum but i am a very fan of civ4 with mods especially this one .

It is a really wonderfull one I am running version 2.3
I have some questions concering it as am very interested in it.

Playing Russian on computer generated map standart size prince level
So the first qustion is how to develop country on early stage?
I got no money to learn techs as I am building new cities. I got 100 % research time at first four or three techs then I am decrease up to 60-70 % or i will be a bancrupt ((((

I rush for trade techs and develope all that bring money but all in vain I got still 60 % of research and not more then 5 cities as building more will bancrupt again.
The further i develope the more money is leaving up to 20 % research

if any war the computer kills me easily as i have practically no army no cities no up to date techs.
The computer playes conduct wars , taking enemy cities , expanding on all sides and bulding good amount of forces .. so the question where he gets money for all this ??

The second qustion is the research time is too slow at the begining .
I have built all buildings at my cities , and obviosly i cant build anything exept for the units .. but the more I build them the more I have to decrease the resaerch time
and on one game I had a minus 45 coins per turn with 0 research time during wartime with only 1 enemy as others live in peace , research and expand ...

I've started a couple of games with this mod, and i've noticed that it is completly normal to be running with low research. mostly now in renaissance i'm running with 40-50%.
Works good, and i'm actually still on top with research. Playing on monarch btw.
Problem is, that you really need tons of troops otherwise you just get rushed over by the other nations.

Its so pity about crushing whe you reaserach over breach loaded rifle .
after or while researching the continue of the game seems imposible of the bugs
It crushes when whis the second set of gundpoder unit U declare war to the top rated county .
it crushes whenever U it likes . Omg ..
is it am so lucky or smby also exprerience it ?

PS. Dammit I cant play other mods after total realism ...

Yeah thanks alot TR team for giving us damaged goods...WTH!!!!!!!!
All and every Single game i have played since the release TR 2.3 has Crashed either in early games or late games this F"n Sucks!!!!
WTH Do I do Now i cant go back to playing RoM Or HitM Mods!!!
I want T.R 2.4 that will Not crash!!!:mad::mad::mad:

I have a question i am now in the market for 2 Ocz SSD 64GB Should i buy these or the velociraptors what will give me better and faster turns in my late games my game slows down!!
