I also ran the installer,.... exactly as you. But when i load the mod, most of the texts are missing (no leaders name, no text in civilopedia, no texts of units when you start a game,...) So, what is the problem ? do i miss something ? Post 3 is not easy to understand, when i install the mod ? After, deleting the Custom Assets,.... It's really not clear to undestand for a non english language native. I'm fed up ! It make more than two hours than i have loaded, re loaded, re re loaded Civ4 and TR. And still the same prob....

Everyone else thanks for bug fixing thats very helpful to find these errors. You have to understand we really have no time to play this game. Very sad. :sad: We only understand how it works. Like the movie matrix when the guy could see a hot blond women in red dress just by looking at the hexa codes. :D Since we have no time to play, we cannot test things properly before we release them.

Don't worry a hot fix will be coming as soon as we have solved these issues...

Glad to hear that you say its a lot faster. All credits go to Mexico. He had a great idea how to improve the Python speed. :D

Thanks you so much. :) This is really no secret. Every piece of the code is open source and everyone can grab it and use it. The only restriction in our licence is that making extension to Total Realism is not allowed but only by the official team. This is a prevention of chaos that fans would try to load different custom mods in addition to Total Realism, which would cause lots of more support problems for us. Anyone who likes to use our code is allowed to do so, just the Mod that is to be made has to have a unique & distinct name.

Regarding the AI, our real SDK AI programming shall come soon, after we have released the Warlord. Right now the time schedule is very tight and the bug list is still big.

The major AI changes we have done so far are pure simple XML in several forms:
- GlobalDefines.xml & especcially CIV4GameOptionInfos.xml have a great impact on AI and Barbarian AI.
- The next change is the WorldMap (which is XML as well) the placed Barbarian units and cities have be given certain behaviour by choosing the right AI script. (Counter, attack etc. makes them behave differently)

Thats pretty much it, unless I have forgotten something and we have still some secrets hidden in Python files. :D Do we Mexico?

1) Ok. Uninstall the whole game!
2) Go to your D:\Documents and Settings\FROG\Application Data\My Games\Civilization4
If you have French WIndows then it should be; like 'Mon Application' and 'Mon Jeux'
D:\documents et Paramètres\HianTheFrog\Application données\My Jeux\Civilization4
Now delete Civilization 4.
Now go to the install folder of your Civilization like C:/program files/firaxis/civilization4.
Delet this comlpetely as well.
3) now install the game, install the 1.61 patch, install 2.1 Total Realism. Voila! Play :D

about what and where to look for ai changes,
i made a lot of channges in the leaderhead ai.

i will try and change some stuff also according to what you said.

maybe, if you do not wish to release your secrets :) you can just release the ai changes that you made.

im sure tons of modders will be greatfull.

anyway,
i really really hope that your next v, will be mp compattible - i would be very happy :)

It still doesn't work.....even if i delete everything an so on... so what !
I began to be....:mad: ....
Still the same problem: no texts on first screen, missing txt on civilopedia... can't load the mod from vanilla, had to go to your button and then problems come as i explain before.

After more than 3 hours of intensive research, of anger also, IT WORKS !!!
First, i have to destroy everything as you suggested (from what is C:\ to D:\)
Second, i have to re-install the game, patch 1.61 and TR 2.1.
Third, i load the game then order him to be in English, not in French.
Fourth, i delete what is in custom assets and restart the computer.

Now, it's work and i hope for a long time..... I will not waste an evening for every new patch !

seems like a train wreck so far. first no flags, then i tried installing without white flag patch, and crashing like a banshee. going to keep trying

edit:
got it . everything is installed and workign properly now including flags.
 
My game crashed in classic era in 680bc. I have restarted my PC and load game again. In the first turn game crashed again. Then I have loaded a previous autosave. I played a couple of turns and the game crashed again. I cant continue my game.:(
Has anyone encoutered "crash" problem?

Is there any solution to my problem or I have to wait for patch fix?:confused:

wow this mod got slower then what i remember. oh well, its fun though. new graphics are amazing. playing as mongolians. turned the music on too since i noticed they included some
 
Will you be fixing the lack of HUD in multiplayer. Me and my cousin have been waiting ages to play a hotseat TR game. This is a huge disappointment...:(

I do love the mod though.:) Multiplayer would be the best.

I am not sure why you guys spend so much time creating this mod. I just want to thank you for all your hard work and the hours of enjoyment I get out it.:)

A Few More Bugs:

The New Helecopters Dont Load Any Units , The Veichle One Does Nothing And The Infantry Helicopter Loads The Wrong Way Around With The Infantry Carrying The Chopper.

New Missiles Dont Load Onto Subs.

Advanced Units Appearing Way Ahead Of Time.

Not sure about anything modern. But i am having no problems :) . No difficulties with sound, loading speed is much better (well done mexico :goodjob: ). Ancient to classical is going wonderful so far. I am also noticing that due to the fine construction of the mod, i can play against more opponents on bigger maps with less of a load time at the end of each turn.

Houman and team, what was your thoughts on the weakened conquistador?

A bug: when you put your mouse on the tech bar in the upper part of the screen, it does not show you the number of points needed, that left to end,....only the number of turn.
An other bug: some promo are not described in savopedia. You can read what are the bonuses but there is no text...

It's not a bug, just a comment: Slavery civic is fun to play. Slaves revolts are numerous and always very boring, but fun ;) . These fu--- guys burned my UNIQUE field of rice, and then create an health problem in 3 of my 4 cities.:mad: Now, they are crucified along the road :D , as an exemple of my mighty power ! :crazyeye: :crazyeye: :crazyeye:

not sure who stated about other civs having units not up to their tech, but could they not have purchased them as mercs?..
I have had other civs merc out units from me alot already.
