[mod] TOTAL REALISM 2.0

Blast it all - I'll miss the new release - my wife is making me take her on a trip so we are going to Spain tomorrow and not returning till new years eve --

Anyway Anaztazioch -- it's Christmas --not Xmas -:) - and "stone age villages" can be nice and relaxing ;) -- have a great holliday everyone and we'll all play the heck out of this great mod as soon as it's released to those of us that have no clue how you guys do what you do.

Sorry, Anaztazioch, but I solved my problem(s) myself by the simple expedient of uninstalling TR and deleting all the savedgames. I found it too much trouble for the value of play. I'll stick to SevoMod from now on. Good luck with your mod.

I need some help. I'm trying this mod, I like very much, it's the only one that allows military campaigns before medieval times, but I dont know how to hire mercenaries. Second problem, I've chosen slavery as civics to get slaves from barbarians but, after that, many barbarians appeared in my homeland killing my workers. It seems there's no point chosing this civics, I get slaves but I lose workers, not a great deal. Some ideas? Anyway great job!

Is there a way to disable whatever causes peasants and slaves revolts all the time? Please, don't take this as an offense. The warlords mod is great, I love the units, the balance, the game length and all else, but it's quite annoying (for me, personally) to have cities taken by revolting peasants and turned into barbarian states. No matter how realistic it may be, let's remember it's just a game and I'm not that skilled a gamer, as well as others here. I'm not asking you to remove it from the mod. I'm just asking for a tip on how to play with these features disabled. By the way, selecting the option "no barbarians" doesn't help.

Yeah, this has been getting at me too. It's a nice touch, but it seems a tad overdone.

1) In top left corner of screen, there are 2 buttons above resarch progress.
One is for LOG window, other is for Mercenaries window.

And note that Pre-Gold (beta5) installer asks you weather you want to install mercenaries component or not (off by default). So if your playing pre-gold and just "rushed" it to install faster, you dont have mercenaries installed, hence no button. This way eighther "live with it", or reinstall mod, but be aware that savegames may no longer work, or bring unwanted effects.

2) Answear in type of question: Its easier than you can imaginate.
a) why workers when going slavary
b) why slavary when you want workers
And know that for killing rebbeling slaves you get expiiance +slave. Slavery need strong army, even Rome has lost few cities to slaves (Spartacus was only most famous).

Slave revolts and peasant revolts are incorporated mods. Delating them will cease WTR from working, unless Warlords code will be set to dont use delated components.

Second, i find Caste System much better than peasant one (Damn thats 48th time i forgot that name!), and i use slavary only when i have small country, to deal easilly with them.

Build Great Wall wonder, this will keep you country safe from barbarians and bring one hell of a rage to AI/network buddies.

well, here's the problem. I tried this new mod, and yes, i loved it. However i have a problem when it comes to religion. I found hinduism and i tried to spread the religion to neighbouring countries, but i couldn't.

i waited for so long, and i have moved on to poast-classical age, and all the other countries (except those who founded religion) has none of my state religion. I tried sending missionary over, and yet there is no button to spread my religion.

No, the person has no theocracy as his civic.
Yes, I have open border (or else how would i enter the territory)
He's a neighbouring country, his third/fourth lasrgest city is next to the capital (holy city too) of hinduism, and none is spreaded over.

is there any solution?

Thanks for the tip. I'll try it out. Off-topic: I see you're from Poland. Just for the sake of curiosity, in the city where I live, Curitiba, southern Brazil, the amount of Pole descendants is huge. It's probably one of the biggest Pole colonies in the world.

Are you playing Total Realism 2.1.3 ? Or I should say You ARE playing Total Realism 2.1.3 (of course you can have no patch instlled so its 2.1)
In 2.1 old religions sucha s Judaism, Zoroastranism and Hinsuis cannot spread outside founders borders. Dont remember how it ctually all worked, but thats a feature. Only way to spread it is to give away one of your hindu cities, let AI convert and than spread your missionaries (swami) in rest of his cities, than do something to get that city back. I think Judaism spread in simmilar way.
In Warlords cobvention there is no such thing. Only slower spread.

As Vertico said. Chicago is biggest Pole "colony" in world. But now many Poles leave Poland, mostly to UE countries, so its hard to say witch city is biggest "colony". But i allways hear its Chicago.

Yes, like in the part of "Sami Swoi" where they go to visit relatives in Chicago.
That`s a movie that all Poles should have seen. My Dad still laughs his ass off about it and he`s seen it like 100 times...

"Jak wywolalem druga wojne swiatowa" Is great too. If you know Polish, watch it, or atleast ask your father about it. It would be a shame if he has not watched any part of 3 parts of it (single movie cut in 3 part, or 4 ? never remember)
