Mod Won't Load

Hey, I've recently re-downloaded this mod after a long haitus from Civ & a computer upgrade and after extracting the files to my
C/program files(x86)/2kgames/firaxis games/civ 4 complete/bts/mods
file, the mod doesn't load up. The rhys and fall original that came with the files loads and works fine, but DoC just kind of...doesn't load up, there's no error message or anything.
Originally I tried to extract it to mygames/civ4/bts/mods but that gave me error messages. What am I doing wrong?

I'm a total novice vis a vis computers so if I'm doing anything spectacularly stupid pls point it out

DoC has the same name as RFC in my mod loading menu, so click on all four RFC senarios and ensure that two of them aren't DoC.

Trying to load the scenarios encounters the same problem, I've got the 3 of them (3000/600/1700) and they try and load up DoC, which closes the game, then the CIV loading screen comes up, but then nothing initialises and I just stay on the desktop.

I can manually load up basic RaF (with subsequen access to the vanilla 3000/600 scenarios) but if I manually try to load up DoC it doesn't start up past the loading screen

What is your DOC version?
If is the 1.11 version try the next SVN after 1.11 are finished

Failing that, try redownloading DoC, there might be something wrong with the file.

Are you sure the Civ4BeyondSword.exe process doesn't keep running in the background?

I downloaded the file from the main page the day before yesterdat, so I think it's the latest version.
And no it doesn't keep running, I used task manager to check for processes.
Am I definitely extracting it to the right place?

I don't have Civ4 Complete but that looks like the right place.

And the mod folder is called RFC Dawn of Civilization? If you have any older versions of the mod around, it might be better to delete them.

I don't have other versions of the mod, I reinstalled Civ 4 at the same time I downloaded the mod (new laptop)
There are two mod folders from the extraction, one is 'RFC Dawn...' the other just 'Rhys and fall...'

EDIT: when I try to execute the map files straight from the public map folders it loads up BTS, not the map
EDIT2: I've re-extracted things and now I've got one folder (just DoC rather than 1 RFC and 1 DoC) called RFC Dawn of Civilization.
I can't extract directly to the mod folder b/c I just get a bunch of errors from WINRaR and it doesn't work, so I extract to desktop then cut the file into the mod folder. However, I still have the same problem in that it just doesn't load up.
EDIT 3: just to be clear, when I try to load the mod this screen appears but this does not and nothing happens if I wait, Civ has terminated and doesn't load anything.

The DoC folder goes alongside the RFC folder in the Beyond the Sword mods. Not inside it.

Also, make sure that you have Civilization IV patched between each expansion installation.
edit: nevermind you have complete. Just make sure that is patched then?

Start the map by clicking on the map from inside Public maps. It should open you up to a civilization list that ends with Brazil.

I've re-downloaded and re-extracted the files on the off-chance that it was something wrong with them, I've not only got 1 folder.
I didn't have RFC installed previously, I'm not sure why it bifurcated in the first place

Everything is fully patched, via the automatic patching service. Don't suppose there's a manual one that I need too?

EDIT: having poked around a bit, I can say this is an issue with all map files, not just from this mod. They don't load up the map, just the game main screen.

I've heard that the automatic patching system isn't completely reliable. Are you sure you have BtS 3.19? Download and install the patch from CFC just to be sure.

Ah! You're right! Just checked the 'about this build' bit and it says i'm on 3.00!
I'll manually patch it and get back to you, ty ty

The automatic patching works for some people (it worked for me, for example), but it doesn't work for some other people.

Huh. Never really tried Legend of Korra. Is it nearly as good as the first?
