Modern Alliances

Hey,

The mod looks really interesting so far. 2 questions...

1. Is it multiplayer compatible (obviously scenarios won't be)?
2. Since you're adding England, Wales and Scotland in as separate civs, do you think you could base a scenario of the English Civil War (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_Civil_War)? It would give us brits an excuse to play on a map of Britain, and it makes a change from invading 3rd World Countries/ Dictatorships ;).

thanks for the supports
first thing you need to know tho, im not adding them as seperate civs, im putting an addon out for download. So basically in the default TTT download, its going to have to UK, but once i complete the addon, there will be another download link, were you download something much smaller and put it in the game with easy download instructions, and it will add the civs. Sound confusing ik, but once its released it will be much easier. Since i plan on adding the map of britain in the addon (probably not in the 1st versoin, probably in the update) ill do a 2011 britain scenario (no wars you can play as ireland, n ireland, whales scottland or england) the irish war of independence and i could probably doan english civil war one too:goodjob:

As for multyplayer, it should work, and it shood work with scenarios to, its just my mod hass only 500 downloads, chances of meating some1 who decideed to try multiplayer same times as you is slim to none. But if you plan to try it with some1 specific and go on on the same time, i dont see why a normal game or a scenario woodnt work. Try it out tell me how it goes!

Any time i have a great general and i want to "power" up
a unit, the game crashes....
Any idea?

That happened to me once, but i ignored it, since i was expirementing with other things at the time i thought that caused it, hmm... no idea, Ill attempt to fix it, then put an update out for the fix, if i cant fix it, might have to remove great generals from the game, hope i dont have to :/ for now when you get a great general just use him for something else minus powering up units. Sorry:sad:
 
Hey fellow civ 4 players! Im trying to figure out where to go next with this mod, i have a variety of options since i have now worked out the big kinks and it rooms fairly smoothly, minus a few erros (which will also be fixed) but i want to know what big things i shood do next, even if your knew to the forums tell me your opinion
Here are some options:
*Focus on more addons
*Put in revolutions
*Put in random unit names
*Put in CAR mod, which increases speed by 15%
*Focus on scenarios
*Add more civ/LH
*Focus on making every civ have 2 UU and UB

Any feedback will help:)
 
i cant seem to be able to launch any scenarios from your mod , says , "failed to read worldbuilder file "public maps/moder world 2011 (ttt) . civbeyondswordsave"

Hmm will look into that, I'm not sure butni think I might of rerenamed modern world 2011 because for some reason ppl said they coodnt find 2011 when I just renamed it modern world, haha cuz that's just so confussing to figure out modern whorl is also 2011. So I think when u updated it, there was a problem with the private maps, I'd reels load version E, also I'll look into it to see if it's a problem on anyone else's
 
I guess it's because of simplification purposes but Hungarian and Finnish (and Estonian) are "Finno-Ugric" languages but otherwise it's a great mod!:bowdown:

And not sure what you mean by Finno-Ugric, ill probably just look it up on wikipdia:D but since finland and estonia use to be part of russia i assumed their languages are close to russian, so i just put that. And as for hungary, i put it as german, since czech hungarian slovakian and austrian and german are all very similar languages (ik cuz my grandpa use to speak all of them) so i put them all down as german
